thats the defention of "yaoi" this manga is a BL which stands for boys love obv and bl is different from yaoi! bl is more abt fluffy shi and sweetness while yaoi is like when theres sex, rape,etc. in it.

Yaoi means there’s more explicit sex, turns out most mangakas like the rape, toxic tropes…
While BL is usually more like just kisses, or a reference that the sex happened, or the thing is shown but not explicit.
There’s fluffy Yaoi out there, but sadly A LOT of them have toxic relationships…
But you are right, BL usually is more sweet and healthy. I just wrongly have the habit of using the yaoi term for everything.

No, Yaoi just means there's explicit sex in it. It doesn't even mean "smut," most yaoi was softcore with maybe 1 sex scene in the whole story until about 10 years ago when webtoons/manhwa/etc started getting big (of course you still had smut and rape and such, but the story had to have the "yaoi" AND "smut" tags for that)

Yaoi, Shonen ai and Bl are the same. In Asia and in every official platform the only use the term BL. Yaoi and Shounen ai are outdated terms that only us international fans use nowadays. So every story that focuses on male relationships whether is a romantic one or a sexual one is a BL story

Yaoi = BL (Rated R)
Shounen-ai = BL (Rated E for Everyone)

These are not the same, though they are both "BL." Yes, "Yaoi" and "Shounen-ai" are both "BL"--and have been referred to as such for *literal decades,* this isn't new--but the sexual content rating is different. These words just more succinctly show that difference in rating rather than saying "A Rated R BL" or "A sexually explicit BL"

I know the difference. If you had reading comprehension you wouldn't be making such an useless comment. Like I said those are terms that only international fans use and they are outdated so just call it BL and that's it, because with or without sexual content is still called BL. And obviously if it has explicit content it's gonna be rated like any other work. Instead of getting pressed for outdated terms that don't matter anymore you should get with the times or mind your business specially when no one was addressing you in the first place
