im kind of uncomfortable with how they present the love interests. like yep the guy saved you but suddenly falling in love? i dunno if they wanted to chuck romance in i wouldve preferred 'realizing they fell in love alongside the journey' or just developing it slowly. this rn is just some fanservice-y action for male readers to self insert themselves lol

ikr its cool and stuff but sometimes we need the missions and stuff i like her and stuff but like she came out of no where just because he saved her and fell in love with him and cause he doesnt smell like the others still ugh tbh i didnt want romance in this one it's alright if like she likes him and stuff but he just minds his work and mom but yeaa ugh gotta go chill down

same. i just binged watched this on 2 days. loved the action, loved the world setting, loved the story. and then when we got invested they hit us with this cliche. man i just want some action focused story till the end for once. lol in the end its obvious that the target is still for the male demographic

so true out of no where man .. so true never once was there one with just the male and his action story no romance but yea oh well the males want their females every time ugh man its a good story i love it but just thinking bout her blushing and acting all that cute and shy cringe thingy will just make me stop reading it idk man

so true abt the acting shy thingy. i actually tolerated all the past girls who got interested in him and acted all cutesy (esil, jinwoo's sister's bff, etc). but this girl is supposed to be a badass S rank. all the other male s ranks are either level headed or chaotic, and then we got a female s rank that acts cringy af. i find her action really just pandering for the male audience. nothing we can do abt it :(

for how many months now i have been avoiding korean yaoi webtoons bec most of them are long, superficial with no character development. (just my preference, i know some people enjoy lighthearted ones like this)
until i've stumbled upon this manhwa. the writing is good, the characters have development, mc didnt fall for the director easily (started off as lust first which is reasonable) and after they realized that one another isnt what they initally thought of as, they continued to get to know each other.
dude i live off healthy manhwa's like this.
i definitely think most of my pet peeve coming from korean webtoons is that it can spawn 100+ chapters but still feels shallow lol. but for on and off, every chapter is necessary and lets you know more about the character's personalities, reason behind their actions
other manhwa's i read was (but not necessary healthy) are make me bark, blood bank, behind the desk, king's maker, etc.
if you can suggest me other well written korean webtoons with character development i would appreciate it :3

I think the problem with manhwa is there are actually great stories, just that they are in a sea full of mediocrity. I think thats for any new and growing genre because I usually also avoid manhwa if I think it looks superficial too. My reccomendations are Fools and All About Lust. Fools is a bit slow paced but the characters are really well developed, their struggles about love are really realistic and the relationship between the two leads is very wholesome. I just enjoy everything about the story and the art is enjoyable and the color composition adds a nice charm. All About Lust is really funny and wholesome despite the name, I love the all the characters in the story and how they interact with eachother. The Author knows how to create a really great atmosphere. I could recommend some more if you’re good with non- ai shounen ai and yaoi mangas.
PLS I NEED THE RAWS
