What was the plot with the "saintess" character again? The story focuses on Deborah's journey of capitalism so I barely remember what the backstory was
Og plot was the usual cliché:
Kind saintess, all the MLs are in love with her including the guy the villainess is in love with/or he was already her fiancé which makes him cheat on the villainess for the saintess and thus the villainess bullies and tries to kill the saintess but it fails because she is protected by the MLs
In the og story I’m pretty sure they weren’t engaged. Mc just basically stalks him and begs for his attention in the og story
He isn’t up to the point of cheating bastard, but he’s still a dick lol
PLEASE THIS IS SO SAD AND SO GOOD... THE RICH FAMILY IS SO MEAN I JUST WANT THEM TO BE HAPPY THIS SEASON FINALE IS SO TEARJERKING
also just my opinion but the smut almost ruins the storyline for me, the focus is the emotion so I skip the smut so I don't ruin the tender moments
Apart from this long backstory nobody wanted (fûck that guy), I love how the story plays the morality question of "is ignorance a sin?" Ppl say she's done nothing wrong which is technically true, but is willful ignorance truly the same as innocence?

This is set in a time where aborting would kill you - legally it was punishable by stoning. She kept the child because she didn't want to perish, she never wanted it, you demonising her over that is like demonising women who abandon her child when she is neither emotionally or physically able to take care of it, sure she's not great, but ML gaslit and raped her, so she's not that bad, especially compared to other FLs in other stories.
...how do you know? How do you know in this fictional world abortions are punished by stoning?? I forget this story is strictly historically accurate and everything written is a historical account... wtf?? Even in the real world *outside of the story* women have been taking abortive medicine and herbs for centuries to prevent carrying to term/having children. Making such a huge leap in logic to say I'm demonizing her is crazy. She didn't have to keep the child. She could've given it away and kept that a secret. She could've aborted it but didn't because in a twisted way it kept her attached to the ML, which she wanted. "Demonizing her for not aborting her kid"... How do you even come up with this

By the fact that it's the son of the imperial family, and was known by the father that she was pregnant, she would have been killed, go check up on your inference skills, since you clearly lack them, also, I was only making educated theories on why she decided not to terminate the pregnancy
