Why are all the women always manipulated and being taken advantage of, sexually and emotionally in this webtoon?? Bring out a new tune I'm sick of this one
Art is so gorgeous I forced myself to finish the chapters, but man this is written so poorly. The whole thing w the fiancee is that she can't know he's blind, it's a huge deal for 10 chapters, but 15 chapters later without previous mention, she just casually goes "well you can't see but you can still dance"... So she knew abt it?? Also, she was the only interesting character and they surgically removed her from the story? What was all that for then???
Then there's the whole Lucas romance which was so forced--they met one chapter and the next he fell for her. How is that even possible?
There's a whole theme about her being so insecure about her face, but the reason why is never the same. She was bullied, sure, but one time it's bc shes inferior to her sister. Another time it's because beauty is all that matters in this world. Next time it's she can't face her dead siblings. None of these reasons line up or mix well, and they're never explained simultaneously. Always one after the other, so there's no coherent solid reason why she's so insecure.
What the hell is even the point of this storyline?? The master or whatever is recovered in spirit and in body (slowly at first then seemingly overnight), so there's no antagonistic force driving development between the characters anymore. Now they're just lovey dovey and nothing else happens. He said she had to leave, but she's still serving that guy normally.
Don't even get my started on how they keep trying to force the dynamic that the FL and ML have parallel lives/pain. The FL literally watched her family members die and was starved and beaten, while the ML was blinded so he's forced to live in a huge mansion with his many loyal friends and professional caretakers who follow his every whim. He's had every resource to bounce back but he doesn't. Man doesn't even try to walk by himself and when he does it's a huge deal. Sh-t is so insulting to actual blind ppl
This newest chapter (122) really highlights how the FL is so misunderstood. She loved a flawed man. Haven't we all? A man that didn't love us back, who were cruel but kind, warm but cold, selfish but fair? She knew, yet she still fell for him, simply because she could not control it. She was helpless in face of the first man to truely show her romance and reprieve in horrible difficulty. Who knew it was the same man who gave her this difficulty and heartbreak. Yet, despite the fact she loved him with everything, she was strong enough to move on and forget him. She was able to cut him out of her life even though she had committed her entire being to him. Tell me how that isn't strength and grace. God, if only I could be that strong.
I originally started reading this bc I got the spoiler that she left her husband and I thought it was be entertaining/satisfying to read. The reviews on this story were all shitting on the fact the FL is a coward/pushover and the ML is awful. However, when I read a little further I realized a lot of people completely misunderstand this plot. They see bjorn's actions and think this webtoon justifies and romanticizes them when in fact, they showcase exactly what the title suggest. This man is horrible inside and out, and the Erna loved such a flawed man until finally his actions pushed her too far and she broke. Bjorn's inner thoughts aren't meant to be any indication of love, but a horrible need for control, manipulation and possession. He doesn't "realize too late he loves her," he only realizes that she has regained control over herself. It's about the deeply tragic path the FL walks on just to realize she's trapped inside a terribly abusive marriage. She leaves, by her own accord, with her own amazing strength. People who say she's weak don't realize that she's stronger than most female protagonists in these types of stories. She's overcome a miscarriage and a husband who let her become a scapegoat to a societal hatred and bullying. Throughout it all, you can slowly she her decay, the lack of life she has even in the clothes she chooses to wear. It is a gut wrenching story that is worth the read.

Something I've noticed abt mincheol is he only ever calls naehaesoo his wife when it benefits him. When he's cheating, nooo ofc he isn't married. Oh when he wants a home cooked meal? When his girlfriend doesn't know him well enough to take out the carrots?? Why is Naehaesoo letting her husband starve bro poor mincheol might just die from being such a piece of shit poor him
I think the translation consistently mixes up she/her pronouns with he/him and vice versa. Sometimes they get them right and sometimes wrong. Kinda funny reading the chapters and trying to figure out who's being referred to at any given moment
I don't feel this was rushed because the plot would've been super boring if it continued. The antagonists are outta the picture so really what else is there to say storywise? Everything wrapped up kinda perfectly, the gross guy left the country under fear for his own life, the gross mom lost everything including her gross son and weird secretary, and really everything was peaceful. The ending symbolized new beginnings for the two main characters. I thought it was very well done and such a fitting ending. If we get any after story shorts, hopefully a shot of them later on married with kids or something would be sweet.
Hate that everyone is saying this isn't worth reading because the romance is too slow paced. It is not centered on the romance at all, it's is about the angst of being in a world you don't belong in and the uncertainty of your existence to those you love. It does a deep dive into the psychology of an isekai story and the themes goes so much deeper than "oh MC and some guy gets tg and they live happily ever after." That would be SO boring and repetitive, so if that's what you want please read something else. There are so many better options for romance than this.
While some of this story can drag on, the premise of this story as a whole is the unease of not belonging and misalignment of identity. She is LITERALLY not the main character of her own story. While she struggles to open her heart to people she feels she can't love, those who love her suffer from her indecision. It's a great angsty story with cute characters and is worth reading if you know what you're in for.
I'm gagged what the heck is going on this shit is crazy & scary Penelope girl you should've just kept leading him on bc how is this better
It's been so long, I'm forgetting why this guy deserves such awful treatment. Like why did he bring back Yvonne? Smt happened with him trying to escape? I forgot it all
