This is a beautiful story, I love kai and hizuki sensei but my heart aches for kouichi (the childhood friend). He loved the doctor so much and cared for him but the doctor reciprocated too late, when he actually wanted to left behind everything and go with the doctor he met with the accident and his fate makes me wanna cry! I am glad kai and hizuki found each other but man kouichi deserved so much more! And I do understand why the girl acted the way she did, she actually cared for kai and was with him for so long so it is normal that she wouldn’t be able to accept that kai is not Choosing her and is in love with someone else.
