when i first started reading this, i honestly thought it was a golden manhwa. it still is, but after about ch 55-60 everything lowkey became mush.
they started adding little details to the story that didn't matter in the end and the plot became lost especially after charlotte made a deal with the 4th floor's door.
like, i get they were trying to go for a dark, grotesque, unforgiving vibe but it sorta flopped? and looks just stupid. the plot itself is so fkn good tho and i love how they did the mansion chapters pre-corruption lol. if only the protagonist, who repeated her plan so many times to the readers, actually stuck to it lol. i can maybe defend her by saying it was out of desperation but cmon, that's just a lousy excuse.

Same! The plot at the beginning seemed so fresh and interesting but around 50 it started becoming mush. Like it’s so unbearable it feels like both of them have become so 1 dimensional? I had to stop reading at chapter 60 and let my brain heal LMAO. I also feel like the art changed to be more shoujo esque? Did u notice that too?

people are not recognizing the clear ableism that ahyeon faces at all. the reason why moondae butted in was not only to support his friend after being discouraged but also to bring attention to the ABLEISM that affects him in this series even though he is successful!!!!!
why are people acting like it's not even a big deal what she said/did? bro it was obvious ableism and even i can see that as an able bodied person

i'm glad i found this when it was already (basically) done bc there are so many cliffhanger chapters lmao. i think this story is good and mc has very redeeming (?) qualities but in all it gave me a lukewarm feeling. like, this is a 4/5ths baked manhwa.
they baited the "romance" aspect way too much. if u are interested in a romance story, this is not it. i honestly love when stories don't always have a ML/FL but come on bro. from the jump it was nudging toward that and the ending made it feel like i was being edged for 127 chapters without release
the way the author made this story almost felt like someone trying to write something that requires more intelligence than they have? i'm not sure if it's a good explanation but some things just felt too easy, too predictable, or too "try-hard" like. still love it tho.
also u can tell the author loves begging/crying men lmao, can't say i'm not the same

idk what the author is even trying to do with the prince. like i get he has to have a place in the story but WHY?? they've already established that sedin/cedin and yiyoung/rene are in love (whether they notice or not) so why not just throw that prince plot away?? it's totally dragging out way too far atp it's annoying instead of interesting.
i hate the cliffhangers they do when yiyoung needs to make a decision. like bitch you are rubbing clits with cedin and somehow you STILL pick blond dude "for the quest" ??? please dpmo.

It’s irritating to have him constantly talking about how he doesn’t understand why the saintess disappeared and refuses to come back. Sir you treated your original fiancé horribly and were obsessed with the saintess to a dangerous degree. Then the moment MC could be deemed as “useful” all of a sudden you want to act like the engagement was never broken. He’s got to go (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸

literally can't get over how mid this story is ;-; people are saying it's super good but i'm 45 chapters in out of 80 and all i know is that she's an airhead and he's cranky. i say cranky with a grain of salt but airhead with my whole chest btw.
the mc makes the story feel like i'm reading a children's book. her thought process and little quirks are very... immature i guess you can say? like she's genuinely childish. i think theyre trying to make her funny/cute/lovable but it's not hitting for me, she's a grown ass woman acting clueless ugh TT
the only time she is smart or makes good decisions js WHILE she's cooking. anything other than that is as if she's a dunce who doesn't know anything EVEN THOUGH she's from another world + lived her life as an (abandoned) princess. what really did it for me was when she first defended her "sister" against the emperor. like girl you know damn well............

i never understand why people are like "why would i feel bad for a character who had their whole childhood+ to confess" as if being childhood friends ISNT a big reason why they never want to confess. losing someone who was such a big part of your life bc of a confession is a possibility that can happen in real life (happened to me lmao) so i feel for oushi. he took it very well and i really love his dynamic character.
tbh, at first i didn't trust itsuomi due to my trauma of having hot male leads be trash lmfao. turns out this whole manga is fluffy and just what everyone needs in their life!
this is soo goodfd but her pokerface is so terrible (ch24) it's giving me secondhand embarrassment
