tbh, this is one of the more interesting stories i've read. it's conflicting.. like you know guwon has a fucked up sense of humanity but you're not sure if he just doesn't have that at all or if he needs to learn it? like how a child needs to get taught right from wrong.
it also intrigues me that we know nearly nothing about guwon at all. why doesn't he have any memories? what was his life before this? why does he do the things he does? who put these ideas in his head to uphold these "rules"? like yeah he's hot and sexy but damn if it were me i'd run away n just kill myself somewhere else
don't get me wrong, the plot is good and the way the author goes about our fl's character is very interesting but i'm literally lost 50% of the time i'm reading this manhwa.
many times it's due to mistranslation but it's also the pacing of the story like in ch 38 where cassio and emilia are talking they were all good and happy n all of a sudden she hates him and thinks he's a terrible person?? like what??? he didn't even say anything that made sense tho??
all the men in this story have no substance too btw.
tldr -- 8.99/10 good story, good art, but BE WARNED it is a bit on the slower side in terms of progression. highly recommend to marinate this manhwa!!
mc is a mary sue and is incredibly OP but it is not explained why due to this story being a slowburn (?). despite catching up to 69 chapters, there is still untapped territory such as her past, before the dragon expedition. i also wish they expanded more on the life elkinas lead in the 80 years our mc was gone.
they almost seem to forget their child in the middle of the story and it seems less about the three of them and more about demons lol. it's almost like they put the kid in every other 10 chapters bc they remember he exists. they sprinkle around that "family" plotline throughout the story as well.
her "act first, think later" mentality can get old very quick. it's pretty refreshing to see elkinas' character, a man who has lived a century but looks and feels young around his lover. his patience also compliments aryn's straightforwardness as well.
the art style so goooddd the plot is also captivatingg but goddamn i hate how chaser is her "brother" like eughhh... if they were gonna make him her adoptive brother why the weird romantic tension?!! why couldnt he be traumatized in a "ill protect u bc i lost everything" kinda way why is he a "ill protect u bc ur mine" wayyyy!!! i'm also afraid of what happened pre-transmigrated/pre-prison to make her hate him so bad that she made a vow to never talk to him again. also in her room?? like she had to move rooms and chaser saying "it will never happen again" bro wtf happened. they did a whole 3 yr time skip not mentioning it too brahhh
i also feel bad for renag he seems like such a good guy :,(
such a beautiful story and art :,) the ending was great, no excessive holes in the story, just plain yearning and pining ugghhhhh..!!!!!! love to see it so much!!!! a great breath of fresh air from other manhwas lol
am i tweaking like why does she have control over the land... like it can't be bc the land "knew" she bought it? how tf does it know when do what she says also i'm confused on the relationship between the black haired dude and mc, it feels so rushed that it looks forced. we know basically nothing about either of them yet theyre doing things most manhwas would take 50 chapters to get to lol!
www i didn't know so many ppl hated the capitalism arc. i lowkey love it bro, i love an independent mc who can usurp standing in an unfamiliar world where she was at all odds with everything and everyone.
also, if the author is smart, this is the perfect setup for a "once you hit the top all there is to go is down" arc. there ARE many things that have not been addressed yet (like basically the entire plot with red hair guy, mia, and even the guildmaster ;-;) but i feel like this story will be a good slowburn! they have already shown the weird cult group mia is unintentionally part of, so i definitely think the next season or 2 will involve overcoming them.
maybe it's because so many manhwas are 100-150 chapters by the time theyre finished, people are getting uncomfortable about a real slowburn manhwa. it's not a bad thing, but i just love some freshness like this story where i can see a lot of potential rising. it's a very hit-or-miss method though, since as everyone can agree in the comments that "the plot is lost" ... just waittt i have faith in the author!!
i do agree with what everyone saying that the princess's chapters seem unnecessary but idk maybe this is the author's way of introducing the emperor's position in the upcoming arc
*hand over mouth crying* this shit is so ass off the top of my head, i donāt even know whatās going on because itās like weāre just plopped into the story. the world building is straight bunz, who even are those two maids mc brought in?? wouldve been nice to SEE their loyalty and not just be told in one text bubble she likes them lol. we know nothing abt the family, the duke, shiiiit i probably know more about catherine (whose personality can be summed up in 2 sentences) than the mc who i only know for being a saintess mage from a rich family i know there are less than 20 chapters out rn but iāve definitely read way better manhwas where they actually set up a stage for revenge to happen in like 10 chapters. mc thinks sheās aurafarming when in reality it just feels like every panel is filler

ch 31 rn and honestly the PLOT is good but the EXECUTION is bad. MC is stupid. ML is hot and looks calculating but is also stupid.

this was the manhwa that made me realize i love and hate child mc regression lol. love it bc the short time span between her first death and when she awoke again was good enough to where i understand why she's acting childish but also hate it bc i love smart mcs who are already mentally grown up so that i can skip all of the cringey misunderstandings that come with being a child of 0 knowledge
