Everything is very vague. Because at one point, reality and dreams are hard to differentiate. The only one that might have been truly infidelity is with Chester's mom cheating on Chester's dad, but even at the end it depends if you'll believe the parents (Since they said it was a joke). As for the two main characters, I don't believe there ever was (Because of the whole, is this reality or am I just remembering wrong, etc.) - Hope this helps, I didn't want to reveal any spoilers :)
