Why is sexisme so omnipresent in Yahoo considering it's mainly written by women? It's just so upsetting (not that it's any less present in other genres, what a world we live in...)
Aside from that, that was def not sensei's best work, and I didn't really enjoy the first one but oh well ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Also, dubious consent everywhere guys ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Just how did sovieshu become so stupid just by finding a random girl in a forest?
I mean, based on our loved empress' description, he should have been on friendly terms with her (not in love, but it shows that they got along well) and that they discussed the future of their country together (so he should have been able to make reasonable decisions and to discuss properly with her) so tf did he become so shitty (⊙…⊙ )
This is not okay, he forces himself on her, almost blames her for being a virgin, then acts like he's the hurt/angry one when she says he's only in for her body although he didn't stop when she repeatedly said no earlier...
This makes really, really angry, I'll still continue because I liked it up to that scene, but that was pure bs (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸

Honestly, rashta isn't even that bad considering her position and her life, the true trash is def Sovieshu, it's not as if he had a bad relationship with Navier before bringing Trashta in, so his attitude is unexplicable and unforgivable. You don't just trash your life-long friend for some girl you found under your horse.
And if you think that way, then Rashta is actually very well-written, she tries to take what is Navier's, because she feels like she is still in a too unstable position (for various reasons: she has a child already, is being threatened, is only a concubine and knows how the previous concubine ended, etc.) so she tries to take her place. She is actually quite intelligent and cunning (except for a few mishaps, like the case of Sovieshu's ring).
Sovieshu, on the other hand, get stupider and stupider (is that even possible?!), he doesn't tolerate Navier having a lover (something he assumed based on almost nothing) even though he brought a former slave in the palace as his lover, he treats her badly and doesn't respect her rank and the hierarchy of the palace at all, and he even impersonates her to make Rashta happy, ridiculing Navier. Not to mention he totally disrespects her and believes Rashta's words over hers even though he's known Navier for way longer and knows she would never react that way and do the things he accuses her of.
I still hate Rashta too though, but that's what's logical to me, I won't continue but I could go on all day,
Thanks for reading to whoever had the determination to read that, you're a boss,
Enjoy your time reading!ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Honestly I started off hating rashta and Sovieshu too. Mostly because in the prologue u see rashta smirking after the divorce but now that I’ve known her back story it makes it a little bit more acceptable for me tbh because it makes sense. Meanwhile, Sovieshu can suck my non existent dick and fuck off because he doesn’t deserve Navier. She’s a motherfucking Queen (literally) and she deserves so much more than a brain dead bitch as her husband .
Words of wisdom
She did really awful shit though.
I mean, her actions weren’t excusable but understandable instead so if it’s easier for us to forgive her a little because at least she had a reason yaknow. Whilst Sovieshu literally had no reason other than “oh she’s so small and pretty and weak, I just wanna protect her!” “I am king! I can do whatever I want including disregard your feelings and bring in any woman! But you absolutely cannot. I forbid it.” Typa shit yaknow
She didn't have a reason to drag down the Duchess. She literally didn't have a reason to do that. She also didn't have a reason to betray the Emporer etc..
She betrayed the emperor?
