It IS a happy ending. The ones who were screaming didn’t understand it because it’s basically open-ended despite the obvious heavy hints that it’s a happy one.
Don’t know if I should give out such a heavy spoiler but it’s bugging the shit outta me and I’m trying to be incredibly vague here. I came into this story blind and that is the best experience, sorta like undertake. The open-endedness was written there to fit the theme and tone of the story. I mean one of the major points of Dokja’s goal is all about seeking one’s happy ending, something that he’s has been trying to get since the start of this story. And ORV is a story written for him— only an idiot would think he didn’t wake up.
