You know, the way this scorpion took her and is the same way the snake took her.

You seem to forget that Curtis isn't a rootless beast like the scorpion king. Rootless beasts are savages and aggressive, with no sympathy. They dont care about winning a female's heart but take what they want by force ruthlessly even if it means killing the female after they get their offspring.
Curtis on the other hand cherishes his female and her feelings. Even when he wanted things to go his way, he realized it would make Bai sad and ended up respecting her wishes.

It's cool seeing an autistic main character in manwha form. The struggle to understand people and emotions is so relatable, and it’s cool seeing his inner thoughts on how he thinks and struggles with it. I have a feeling the author knows someone with autism, but the struggle Claus experiences is unfortunate and very realistic.
I can’t tell you how many times I had put myself in similar situations and regretted how I just couldn't comprehend or only realized too late I did something wrong.
It helps to have people who understand the struggles of autism. It's easier to explain why you did what you did without them taking it personally negatively.
Also the same applies to those with ADHD. It's good to understand and have patience.
Ultimately, before assuming the worst, ask why calmly and openly.
By the way, if you are autistic, I do suggest using Grammarly. It helps you understand how you come off to people and may help you better think about how to talk to people.
It helped me a lot for the past couple of years now.

I agree, i can be quite frustrating to see him fail everytime or miscommunicate his feelings but I can relate to him really well (though i'm not diagnosed with adhd or autism, hadn't had the chance to). It can be quite challenging to communicate sometimes, especially in situations like this. i hope the other readers could empathize or at least understand his standpoint as well.

Bro needs grammarly installed on his brain.
Jk. I know the struggle. I was fired before because of my inability to communicate. My ex supervisor made my life a living hell because she refused to believe or support me in my struggle. My ex, who was a diagnosed ADHD person gaslit me in to thinking it was all my fault. I'm glad I could leave both of those toxic situations behind and find stability in my life with an understanding work team.
Duke is existing in a timeline where mental health is practically non existent or highly prejudiced, especially for men. He gets no real support for his learning disabilities and people shot him down as an aloof, cold person. He had even harder a time with this potential love interest whom he wants to get closer to, but doesn't know how to. Hope Duchess will start to see the signs as a person more prone to notice learning disabilities and help him along the way.
Hitting him with the truth! You go girl!!
Also, so violent! Hahaha! (*≧∀≦*)
