I think I heard somewhere that it is illegal to portray minors having sex, its considered CP. And SK has strict laws about pornography. Most HS stories don't have sexual content or they have sex once the couple gets into college i.e. are of legal age. You won't see sexual depictions of minors in any of korean manhuas, not just this one. They did have a sex scene as an adult but I think the author wanted the story to stick to their relation problems and their resolution rather than smut that isn't needed much for plot development.

omg no way I didn't know SK was chill like that. Well that's definitely understandable. Come to think of it, in all of the manhwa I’ve read, the couples don’t become intimate until after they’ve finished high school. This may be the first I read where they are intimate just not shown to the reader

Yep, its just Japanese mangas where its okay to make such content and its most likely bc of liberal sexual environment in Japan. Porn is legal and easily accessible.
Chinese ones are heavily censored since porn is illegal there too. And authors have gotten penalized for making and publishing homosexual explicit content even if it is just a novel and not a graphic novel.

That, and most HS stories in korean manhua's are shounen ai, inversely you can find pretty much all good Korean shounen ai stories are HS love stories. Smut is often in stories with college aged kids and higher.

Monday’s saviour is a popular newer manhwa (still ongoing) that has smut. I just don’t think it’s actually illegal seeing as there are stories that have smut in highschool. If it was illegal, I’d think it would’ve been cancelled or as strict as China when it comes to that.

I just think it’s funny that the whole high schooler x highschooler story isn’t okay with them but writing stories with tons of rape and torture porn is fine lmfaooo. (Like sadistic beauty side story BL, no reason, etc.)

I forgot about Monday's Saviour I'm reading that one too! but I think the author went around the whole minor/HS thing by making the MC a senior that is 2 years older than everyone else and the MC is I believe 3 years older than everyone else. So they're of age, just in HS.

But yeah they allow torture porn and other illegal topics but draw the line at minors I guess??? IDK maybe they classify it as a kink?? Sadistic Beauty is so messed up though

Its pretty much that most countries allow two consenting adults to partake in sex however they like. Unless one goes to file a SA charge, the court doesn't like to dictate. Exceptions would be conservative countries like the middle eastern or someother ones with conservative society.
Also, pretty much a huge chunk of countries across the globe draws a line at CP. Evrn if it is torture porn as long as they are two consenting adults, it fine. But in CP, its always SA of a minor. You can get arrested and jailed simply for carrying CP on your device. Torture porn would at most questinable.

I mean in cases of two minors together not minor x adult. There’s even a bunch of shoujo manga that has the couples sleeping together in hs
