No, the first time, Felix just revived Giovanni through intimate contact. The blood transfusions that is brought up later in the story is about “curing” Giovanni’s condition by transferring Felix’s blood to Giovanni, since Felix is the only one who can give him warmth.

The point of this comic is to showcase different types of criminals and what they do, before getting a heavy payback for it.
The author doesn't have 'a thing' for any of what is portrayed, it' s a heavy subject matter they wanted to portray (especially to raise awareness in some sense I suppose, female on male SA is ALWAYS downplayed) and create an idealized, brutally twisted and satisfying conclusion for it all. Almost fantastically so in certain ways, since how Shirayuki plans/does these things is unrealitic/unreal in many ways. Also unexplained. XD
