i wanted to read this at first but this being set in ig the middle east and none of the characters look arab or even brown for that matter and the entire setting basically being aladdin throwed me tf off
yeahh- a bunch of people cosplaying like they’re from the middle east. also- in terms of genetics and melanin.. that pasty ass kingdom that medusa-boy is from would be permanently sunburned. if the author has a thing for pale frail ukes, just make the kid albino and his bro and their kingdom brown as they should be, not weirdly WHITE. there’s reasons why people native to the middle east aren’t WHITE, because being pasty as fuck leaves the skin with minimal protection against sun damage… it just doesn’t make sense. the artist/authors internalized racism and xenophobia is craaaaazy. atleast they made the pale-ass kingdom batshit crazy lol
