Oh come on, we all know Doha is the best and while he deserves a better -situation-, you can't blame this guy for confessing. He obviously wants to move on and Doha accepted to date someone knowing he is deeply in love with another person. This is the story's conflict like. His feelings will slowly swift towards Doha.
Teacher on the other hand could use some friends and stop hanging out that much with a student, annoying.
I'm so sure she will end up with Chiharu that it's not enjoyable to watch all the precious Yatarou scenes. Hope he gets another love interest T_T
He might be giving Yawhi mixed signals (tho he tells him he needs time to think, he is not saying no and Yawhi knows this, so it's ok for him to be giving them...), but when is Jooin giving Cain false hope? He barely noticed Cain liked him, Cain is being pushy on his feelings. They kissed but Jooin barely remembers ( up to now), he isn't giving him false hope, he literally just realised Cain likes him and Cain knows about Yawhi and how Jooin's mind is somewhere else. It's not wrong for him to be pushy and try to win Jooin but him getting sad is on Cain himself...he knows he is getting into someone that likes someone else.

well in my personal opinion it is. where's the romance here? you might read it for the general atmosphere of japanese highschool and realism but there's barely any romance, and that's why most people read BL.
Yamato did fall for Yuiji, so the romance is there, even if it is one sided for now.
It depends on what you prefer. NxS are a pair in like the first second, everything happens super fast. That's honestly boring to me, there is nothing more to expect way too soon, and there is basically no good plot or conflict. For your love is also another bl that follows Koimono's route and it's worth the wait. Lost in the cloud is also another great example.This was heading to a good friends to lovers with Yamato slowly falling in love...more than good tbh. But we are missing Yuiji's pov for like an eternity now. Anyway I don't agree but better for you anyway, i wouldn't be surprised if this is dropped eventually :(
Agreed. I personally prefer a good slow burn romance with well developed characters, and Koimonogatari is a gem in that area. While we don't know Yuiji point of view, it's clear that Yuiji treasures Yamato greatly, to the point that he is willing to go violent to protect him. The story is already building up to the direction of romance, with Yamato realizing his feelings for Yuiji, and now his first crush appearing. It's unfortunate that the frequent hiatus has slowed the progress down to a halt, so the build up is losing the momentum. I hope the mangaka doesn't give this up. She had stated that she had already planned the entire thing.
I didn't really mean to say that this story is worse than Nomi x Shiba, after all that's personal taste. It's just that Koimonogatari focuses on the queer experience, which is great, but we can't forget yaoi is traditionally written by straight women and read by straight women, who don't really care about that stuff, they just want to read romance. I just checked Amazon JP and Nomi x Shiba has more than 700 ratings while Koimonogatari has 190, which confirms my suspicions. The artist is probably prioritizing Nomi x Shiba because it's commercially more successful, but she should come back to Koimonogatari one day.
You are correct. In the end, money talks. This masterpiece is neglected because it isn't generating money and popularity the way NxS is, which is unfortunate. The popular section of this site also reinforces that my taste is wildly different from the masses.
