finallyyyyy somebody gets it!! like, yes, han didn’t manipulate and use saegye; he’s the “nicer” one (but that’s bc he’s born a truth and therefore doesn’t know what saegye and jinsol had to go through but y’all ain’t ready for that conversation), but saegye didn’t need sympathy. he needed someone to understand him and accept him, and that someone was jinsol. they had a connection together that was different from their other relationships bc they understood what the other went through. and even saegye said so himself that the moments he spent with jinsol were his happiest days, so i will fI G HT everybody who wants saegye to be happy but doesn’t want him to be with jinsol bc sis JINSOL IS SAEGYE’S HAPPINESS. FRICK FRACKING HECK, someone's happiness should not depend on someone else, gosh darn it, and I never thought Han was the nicer one, they were all driven into a corner in their own ways, they all had shitty situations with high stakes, but I don't want them to be together because gosh darn, the betrayal still hurts like, do ya get me, it h u r t s, Saegye gave everything and Jinsol spat it back on his face and GAWD DAMMIT I CAN'T GET OVER IT, I WANT THEM BOTH TO BE HAPPY, BUT LIKE, SEPARATELY, YA GET ME, just because someone understands you doesn't mean the relationship with that person isn't toxic af, and SURPRISE S U R P R I S E, everything Jinsol did during those "happy days" WAS A LIE, and the GALL, THE AUDACITY TO WANT SAEGYE AFTER ALL OF THE SHIT THE WENT DOWN, AND HE KNOWS ITS FUCKED UP, THAT HE WANTS SOMEONE THAT HE COMPLETELY DESTROYED EMOTIONALLY, HOLY FUDGE, IF THEY END UP TOGETHER, WTF, LIKE SAEGYE WASN'T GODDAMN ABUSED LESS JINSOL??? Also, during the time Saegye fell in "love," with Jinsol, the only reason he even fell for Jinsol is because of the looming fear that Jinsol would just say shit about his dare ability, that Jinsol was straight up the only person who seemed like he loved Saegye unconditionally, and that he was a persistent and constant person in his life, at no point did Saegye feel a connection to him other than the fact that Jinsol kinda "accepted" Saegye despite his ability and had also experienced abuse and had a tumultuous home life, THATS IT, AT THE TIME THOSE WERE THE ONLY THINGS HE CONNECTED WITH JINSOL FOR BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE JINSOL LET SAEGYE KNOW ABOUT HIM OMGGGGGG, AND OH, ALSO BECAUSE JINSOL WAS THE ONLY PERSON EVER THAT SHOWED ANY ROMANTIC INTEREST IN HIM, ALL OF THIS IS EMOTIONAL MANIPULATION, AND EVEN AFTER THAT JINSOL TESTED AND GOADED SAEGYE TO SEE IF SAEGYE STILL LOVED HIM, GAWD, SAEGYE WAS THE ONLY ONE VULNERABLE IN THAT "RELATIONSHIP," IF YOU CAN EVEN CALL IT THAT

i totally get ur point. i’m not gonna try and defend jinsol’s action bc i agree, it was a dick move. (but i wouldn’t go as far to say that jinsol’s abusive.) and lemme word the “jinsol is saegye’s happiness” part: jinsol is a (big) part of saegye’s happiness. and that isn’t really an opinion, it’s a fact that we clearly see in the manhwa. i mean, he could’ve just stopped after he exposed the existence of dares and foiled jinsol’s plans. his purpose behind what he did wasn’t revenge, but because he wanted to protect jinsol.

he fulfilled a part of his happiness of being accepted by society, yeah, but i think that didn’t feel “enough” for saegye. like there’s still a gaping hole left in his heart. what was left was closure with jinsol (i mean he did did all of this for jinsol). he wanted to clear whatever mess is between them so he let go and move on with his life. i think that was what saegye really had in mind when he finally talked with jinsol. but they gave themselves the opportunity to give what they have a second chance and become better together.

don’t get me wrong, i’m all about characters who have serious issues improve and grow on their own, but i don’t think there’s nothing wrong with growing together. and i feel like that there’s a poetic beauty to two characters who were lonely their entire lives grow and really live with another person.

(but i def think the author should’ve shown us more about how they overcame their issues—between each other and etc—more a.k.a more angst and development)

++ i’m not saying that jinsol and saegye’s relationship is perfect—it’s far from it. jinsol should’ve apologized better and regret his actions more. but forgiveness really isn’t for the person who wronged you, but it’s more for yourself—that’s what i think was why saegye forgave jinsol so easily.

Yep, I understand your point of view more, you like the fact that despite all this shit went down they can move past it to continue the potential of their relationship, yep, and nope Jinsool wasn't abusive, but he was manipulative af, as for the fact of why Saegye was doing this entire thing to help save Jinsol, it wasn't because he loved Jinsol unconditionally and Saegye is such an understanding person that he let Jinsol's past completely justify his present actions, it's because he couldn't completely hate Jinsol, because sometimes even if the person you love is being a complete fuckin douche and you should hate them, feelings aren't black and white, love can't just disappear, Saegye just wanted to sort this shit out, that's all, oh wait, I just realized you basically just said this in your second para, lol nevermind, sorry, I completely agree with you that its pretty cool they can move past this because if I was Saegye there is no way I would have been able to that, ever, like eveeeeeeeeeeeeeer, so that is pretty fucking great, ngl
