I just watched it and I was kind of like.. “oh?” I wasn’t expecting the VA’s to speak in Korean, considering Shutline takes place in manhattan New York and Jake’s name is literally Jake- he’s white? Or wasian?- idk, I expected Jake to have a somewhat deep yet smooth voice while I envisioned shins to be monotonous it just came as a bit of a surprise
Right, I was thinking about exactly that too, like there in America shouldn't they be speaking English. But Manwha is innately Asian so maybe the animators just put it in their own language.
you’ll probably never see a manhwa animation in english. even characters that aren’t korean will be speaking korean (zhenya, ilay, ceaser, etc) . it’s just how it is so it’s easier to find actually voice actors to voice the 18+ animation typically
