Honestly, this is one of the hardest coming out gender bender manga Ive read. Like a lot of the gender bender stories out there doesnt have a lot of weight riding on the MC hiding their real gender from their LI.
Most of the time, the MC only hides their gender because of the same reason she gives everyone and when she reveals her gender to the LI, it wont really change anything aside from the other person settlig the issue of their sexuality.
In this case, so much is riding on Lindsayan beimg found out as a girl. Fian is established as someone who has a hard time trusting people. If Lindsayan reveals herself, she stands the chance of losing his trust AND revealing herself as a spy on the opposite side of Fian. Not only that, because of her loyalty to Euthigen (which very much exist until now) the minute she is found out, there is an actual need for her to disappear from Fian's life making reconciloation dificult or even impossible (but this is a romance manga so the author will find a way)

I said it once and Ill say it again this manga is really good. Like it started out with both super problematic characters (homophobic yijin and a sexual predator joohyuk) but in the end we got to see them both evolve, recognize AND ACKnOWLEDGE their mistake and build a relationship based on respect and equality. The authors didnt just brush off thei pre relationship issues and didnt excuse the characters' flaws, they dealt with it and they didnt hold back. The problems were actually discussed and dealth with and not just sweeped under the rug. Like I honestly could see how this became a loving relationship and not just love because of plot. It also addressed homophobia and the feeling of othering and fears of being in a gay relationship.
The characters went through a lot and I honestly dont mind just seeing them live their lovey dovey life without plot. JOOHYUK X YIJIN X1000000%%%
Thank you for sharing this with us!

Im so happy that Aki didnt quit. Like normally we get love stories where the other person would just give up doing what they love because the person they love doesnt like it, and while thats okay at times, its really much much nicer if the couple are able to support each other. In this case, im glad the author didnt just discard Aki's passion for dancing when they got together. And props for Taiga too for being supportive.
Roselia: Today should be okay!
Narrator: it was not.
I’m wheezing
I could literally hear a male voice over saying this when I read that part!!
