Aerum is a refreshing femc to read. She's someone who doesnt lose sight of her values and self when presented with love and recognizes bad actions without justifying it for her own conscience.
She acknowledges her love for the Duke but also understands that love alone isnt enough reason to stay. She doesnt make the Duke out to be a good man because she knows he isnt but still knows he has strong points.
She knows she gained everything because she was lucky enough for the duke to fall in love with her which always makes her careful abt reaching out to help others because she always wants to keep her self safe first.
Like honestly I dont mind heroines who are self sacrificing but its nice to see a female lead who is also selfish and flawed but still head strong and good in her own way. Diversity is always important and Aerum's personality is a breath of fresh air.

In my opinion when someone ABANDONS a child and someone else has taken that child in under their wing and the child is HAPPY they have no RIGHT nor any SAY in the matter and that child is no longer their RESPONSIBILITY.
Okay I might not know everything in regards to the laws that handle abandoned children and child custody cases but I do know if considering the fact Lerunda has been living with them for the past... let's say a couple months even if that is a short time that is still WAAAAY to long of time to suddenly go back and demanding to have your child back.
