yikes, what an awful take. having a mental illness can coexist with having a spoiled personality. sometimes they feed off each other, and the illness has to be addressed somehow whether it be therapy, medicine, or both. personally, i am not excusing the character's past actions but it's obvious to me that he's not the tropey bastard villain trying to get his way, come hell or high way. here's an issue of possible major chemical imbalances plus continuous negative feedback (ex/ the way his family treats him).

I think the mix of the obsession over someone who’s clearly not interested in him, mixed with the lack of remorse for the things he’s done hints to something tied to mental illness. A normal/neurotypical person shouldn’t want to/act on urges of causing destruction and pain to those around him. Also not to mention the attempted OD we saw at the end of the chapter...

Okay so take a woman who loves her husband but than she decides I don't want to be with him anymore but I still want his money. Or you can switch the genders if you want. So she decide to off her husband for the insurance money. That is not mental health issues that was pure selfish reason. Things like this happens as often as someone doing something because they have mental health issue. Dylan Roof was a racist who just wanted to kill black people that wasn't mental health issue. We have to get back to the idea that some people are just pure evil and so things out of selfish reasons. Yes there are people out there who want to cause pain and destruction just to see it happen. Its cool I understand I don't like chowon but I'm not going in like some of the people are here. To me everyone has their hard limits on what is acceptable to them and you can't force you opinions on anyone. That is why I say my piece and move on because its not worth arguing over.
