That past life story was kinda not...making sense? I get it's fiction and all so he doesn't have to be the same person.
But it's like the author forgot how sexually liberated their uke was in the present and snakeguy even accused him of being as such in the past.
But then the backstory says he was sexually abused. And then snakeguy understood he was.
Hmm, feels like Shaia and Beryl might have a similar romance to Shaia's grandparents?
I actually like direction this sequel took. Most of the time it feels like the first generation gets a happy ending but sequels with their kids are kinda meh because most of the time there isn't anything to write about.
What we got here was kinda more realistic or a natural progression? I mean, Toneria is still an a-hole but he's not an outright villain they can get rid of. Because while Ruard, Juda and Juda's dad chose their own mates he was still willing to back off because the Omegas had children(Juda himself, the twins and Cypher).
I don't blame Dan for his lack of self-esteem. Aside from his grandma, he doesn't really know what real love from a romantic partner looks like. Not to mention the fact that he's broke AF so he can't really complain.
He thinks because Jaekyung shows him basic decency and gives him money, that he's enough of a good person to him.
Anyways, this is fiction. The author will probably give Jaekyung a few chapters of a sob story where he realizes Dan is the only one for him and they become super lovey dovey.
But now their' someone telling him actually warning him. From this point onwards it's totally his responsibility which path he wants to take.
A tragic backstory couldn't become his excuse anymore .
Its not a one day thing but we better see improvement from now on coz if not my man gonna learn it very Hard way .

I mean, it's a fascinating trainwreck?
