yes one lie is worse than the other but in the first place maybe it’s because i’m too much of a cynic but how did inhwee believe that the top truly was some virgin saint. this bl lacks character and world building. how do you not realise that this man who is the so called most popular guy on campus has probably had some hook ups. like before we get to this melodramatic point of you lied to get into my pants which is terrible don’t get me wrong but the way this storyline is written…it’s too weak to be taken seriously.
i don’t understand how the comments aren’t putting 2+2 together like the mc and ml used to rub dicks and kiss god knows what else when they were in high school…I don’t know if it was a romantic relationship or purely sexual but they were clearly in love with each other but never told one another hence all this angst…and something involving the half brother must have happened probably exposed them ?? lord knows
the people who are cheering for Rick…he slut shamed the mc tried to force himself on him both sexually and romantically. he is a creep and lowkey a predator. he knows the mc doesn’t love him romantically but tried to force something that wasn’t there and got angry that he couldn’t - he almost got physically violent with the mc. he is a loser and i am so glad he is out of the mc’s life. the characters were all terrible but this was apparently the authors first work so I’ll just ignore this and wait for a new release from her.
apart from almost being SAed from that old man i don’t feel sorry for her at all. suffering like that when you have a loving dad and a warm home you are rejecting because of your sick prejudice. loser.
I don’t think you’re grasping just how intense her reaction is…be very serious what kid do you know is willing to become homeless and poor because their parent is a sex worker ?? this is not normal and not something that can be excused with “she’s a kid” and “this attitude is normal in Korea”. please face reality.
I never said it was normal, her reaction was over the top and I know that however there’s various factors that can come to play within her choosing homelessness and one of those reasons why she was over the top was because she is just a kid, a child that doesn’t know the world properly… I think she was trying to make a point of ‘you disgust me.’ albeit not a very good way to show it. Attitudes towards sex workers in South Korea are very real and in reality. Also it’s probably safe to say that she knows her reaction is intense and not appropriate and will realise that in the later chapters sorry for the tangent
you’re saying this as if there’s a single country that isn’t an extremely sex repulsed conservative country. you’re bending your back to justify beyond terrible behaviour whilst simultaneously completely infantilising her because she’s a teenager. i hope you know teenagers can most definitely make uniformed decisions and are quite capable of not acting prejudiced despite prejudicial societal views. swap her prejudice against sex workers with other forms of discrimination and you will be singing a different tune.
you are another one infantilising her and acting as if she’s a dumb helpless kid who knows nothing when that is so wrong. teenagers are not babies and have a working and developing brain. “she was making a point of you disgust me” - do you know how stupid a justification this is ? you’re saying she knows nothing of the world when she most definitely knows the dangers of the world from a distance but is now experiencing it due to nonsensical prejudice. Yes I know south Korea is anti-sex work but so is every country in this world so that does not make the Korean context special. I know she realises it later on but with I am judging her within this flashback.
You understand that not all countries are the same, right? And that this specific manhwa is interested in the topics affecting Korea, and the sexual stigma rampant in Korea. You’re also talking like this teenager is real when she’s not — she’s a representation of the toxic sex repulsed society that Korea influences on its youth, and the extreme, illogical reactions some people end up having when faced with a social stigma. But this fictional teenager grows up and unlearns this mindset when she realizes sex workers are people too and what her father does is not shameful.
Even in this comments section, you can tell there are people who have been deeply affected by their own sex repulsed society. There’s a lot of real life people disrespecting these fictional characters because they’re sex workers and talking like the main couple are cheating on each other because of the nature of their work. So is it so unbelievable to write about an example of a teen girl that grew up in that environment reacting extremely?
There’s also just no point in throwing stones at her because she grows up and we know this! She becomes a better person and realizes how extreme she acted!
I’m not justifying nor I’m I defending her!!! I know it’s prejudice!! Sex work viewed in sk Isnt how they view it in western countries- just because you say every country is anti sex doesn’t disregard the fact that sk has extremely stigmasited it not every country is equal in their prejudices you know. And yes she knew it at a distance- that’s it. I never said for her responsibility for her actions to be taken away just because she’s a child I to want to see how she realises fucked up and then ask for forgiveness.
I’m nor trying to fight you, bro, you’re the one that doesn’t want to read. Asian countries experience a different type of conservatism from western countries, where collectivist societies are more prominent and the social condemnation far outweighs the individual guilt one would feel if they’re involved in social taboos. It’s honestly a simple concept that different people who grew up in different cultures would react to situations differently, but you’d rather believe that every teenager would act as rationally as you would in every country in the world.
The way the ML is hated makes me giggle because yes he played with the uke’s feelings BUT he’s a traumatised guy who’s trying to give justice to his murdered parents ?? Because of this context I am less inclined to witch hunt him like the rest of the comments. Like I am sorry but I would do anything to find out what happened to my parents if they also met the same fate. Or maybe everyone has mysteriously forgotten? Just like the uke tbh. Also the uke is annoying me he’s becoming badly written because again the ml was right he’s being immature and willing to go through pain and suffering for his pride. Just take the money and dip ??? By insisting on paying back money that’s just impossible for you why not take it and go somewhere and start again because the money is enough to do that? Like hello those BLs were the uke just leaves and starts an anonymous life…he can literally do that. He’s not smart and just likes to suffer thanks to the author. Just unserious. Not saying the ML is a saint but yea…writing went from interesting to downright torturous.
And for everyone going yes he’s giving him a taste of his own medicine…by having sexual relations with him under the context of a taunt?? He’s in love with that man and wants to fuck. He never fell out of love in contrast with the ML who didn’t even know he was in love until the end of the last arc. There’s such a big difference so he’s never going to truly give him the “taste of his medicine”. I’m just not impressed because the uke’s actions are just so immature I can’t take him nor the development of this relationship seriously. He’s currently too self-sabotaging which again plot conveniences for the inevitable end game.
So again another point is that because the uke never fell out of love and he insists on suffering…how can you champion this as strength? This blind praise of him as strength when in real life I would honestly consider him a victim of his own actions. This isn’t strength. It is just nonsensical writing and and in real life this would have serious consequences.
I don't think YO is badly written this season. If anything, it shows how strong a character he is. Stronger than JH, to be honest, but I'm not wasting my time trying to convince y'all. Hehe.
I do agree with the witch hunt on JH. I just need a reasonable amount of time before YO welcomes him back. He also has to understand and make up for his past actions. He hurt YO in soooo many ways, which is why I can't accept for things to be easy for him. I just really need him to earn it. And I've been observing his speech from season 1 to 3. Season 1, he was condescending, very caustic. Season 2, he behaved like he had all the time in the world for YO2 and was less acerbic. Season 3, well, we find out that he can make other facial expressions, but he still makes some snide remarks. He better watch his mouth starting cap. 73. JH needs to practice humility from here on out. It's YO who no longer has time for BS now.
Buuuuuut, anyways, I wrote this down in case people will start wanting to kill him in the future chapters:
• was very close with his mom, but lost her at a young age
• realized he had no one he can turn to in the family
• learned to grow up with the absence of love (may explain his low comprehension on feelings and such)
• suspected foul play in mother's death and dedicated life to investigating the mystery surrounding it (may explain why he has no room for love or any kind of close relationship with others)
• knows some people, but doesn't seem to have close friends; even years after his mother's demise, he still has no one in his corner
• assholery may be some kind of armor to protect himself or maybe serves as some kind of deterrent for anything that may derail him from his mission; maybe deemed vulnerability towards another person to be disruptive
• found something in YO but is clueless to put a name on it
Also, this comment on YO is golden: https://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/14532774/
Honestly, JH and YO are just 2 very lonely people. They can be good together, but like what they say, nothing worth having is ever easy.
Then stop reading it. This is one of the better written BLs I've read where the reactions are a lot more realistic than most BL's and the characters have more depth. It's ironic you're calling YO immature because everything you've written screams immature and lack of empathy.
According to you, because JH wants revenge for his mom, he can harm someone else who has never done anything wrong? JH came into YO's life for the USB which could have gotten YO killed and still might get him killed, JH's grandfather kills people including YO's dad. JH put YO's life in danger for his revenge and didn't even tell him that until 1 chapter ago in the hospital. He took advantage of someone who's been abused, beaten and raped by men, used him to get the USB and for sex. JH raped YO after he was drugged, sexually assaulted and filmed by men at the club, treated him like a whore and told he meant nothing to him. As in the sex, the time spent together and everything JH had done for him was just for the USB. YO was ready to accept whatever happens to him without JH's help with the loan shark. To YO, it seems like JH saved him to appease his guilt, given everything JH has said and done. YO would not have gotten kidnapped if JH hadn't stabbed the loan shark and trashed his office, JH messed up by thinking that would be the end of the loan shark but it wasn't and YO paid the price for something JH did again. These are the reasons why JH is an ahole, not because he played with YO's feelings.
Finally, someone's not blaming all on Jae-Hyeok. They're both have their baggages. Yeon-Oh is prideful and Jae-Hyeok is arrogant. Yeon-Oh need to worry about his family and debt, and Jae-Hyeok wants revenge. Jae-Hyeok just tries to make up for Yeon-oh because his grandfather killed his dad and that night he rapes him.
What between them is a transaction, not a romantic relationship, if not for Jae-Hyeok, Yeon-oh still have to take care of his dad's debt, being sexually assaulted by that loanshark, strugglling with minor roles. I love how Yeon-oh put some distance between them but it's not fair to put all the blame on Jae-Hyeok.
Yeon-oh can't cut ties with Jae-Hyeok because he is literally his director of his company. I wish the author will let Yeon-oh focus on his carrer to earn money and pay back Jae-Hyeok, instead of offering his own body. They can distance from each others for some time and just being in a professional relationship.

idk why the recent comments are pulling their in frustration have you guys been reading this with one eye closed ? anyways that redhead was annoying but he’ll be back stop the dramatics.
THIS!!! YALL NEED TO CALM THE FUCK DOWN
