The thing is that there's nothing consensual in their relationship until the omega asked him for his help in chapter 10 (the cum thingy), but even then, the alpha was selfish because he mistakenly thought that the omega wanted HIM as a person (alpha persona) and wanted to have relations with him. Not even double checking especially with what happened just before (the scent thing) that got the omega in so much trouble and angered him. Alpha loves him so much that he wants to protect him but let's be real, it's very one sided (for now) and extremely selfish. Alpha might look indefensive and clumsy but no way he's gonna stay passive all the time. Yes, since little he's being like that. Obsessive, posessive, awkward, shy... and that's fine. There are many ML who just simp for their partners and I get that it's something innate for him. BUT this omega in particular is very vocal with the things he doesn't want and the alpha is just not listening to anything he says. If they get intimate it's because of instinct and pheromones and mostly because it's the alpha's fault.

Omega might be attracted to him but he lnows it's because the scent thing and lingering feelings that makes you wonder if he really liked him in the first place or just because he thought his cute and fragile looking friend was a traditional omega and felt so betrayed when he himself manifested as such. He's very proud and that's why listening to him is the actual key for them to get together and not force him all the time.

This author is good at constructing their characters personalities. It's not surprising that this is not gonna be pure and wholesome, it's fine that it isn't. It's fine that the alpha is that way and the omega too. The story it's just beginning and there's room for change and explore.
But it's also good for us readers to keep calling out this behavior and still enjoy the story.

And the older guy tried to lowkey SA him too but got interrupted. His pair is gonna be a young tsun princess type guy so I don't expect another cute couple hahaha

I definitely do understand where ur coming from and i agree with some of the points you made, but i think juhyeok DOES actually want to be with suah, AND i think his anger and resentment stems from the fact that Juhyeok hates that hes an omega and hates that Suah is an alpha.
The author has shown us juhyeoks backstory and all of it involves the fact that hes traumatized that SOCIETY and everyone around him puts his secondary gender above who he is as a person. He was traumatized when his mom threw that whole party congratulating him as an omega. He was traumatized that being an omega meant you could be weak. Thats his whole thing. He doesnt want to be weak, he wants to persevere on his own, be independent, be strong. He doesnt like the fact that suah scents him NOT BC HE HATES HIS SCENT— he actually only likes suahs scent!! So far suahs scent is the only alpha pheromones in the story that juhyeok likes and finds comfort in!!! But, he doesnt want to be scented because he wants to be strong and isnt okay with the fact that hes an omega and needs help from an alpha. Thats who he was ever since he was a kid. But, society looks down on omegas. So he resents himself AND suah (who he swore to protect as a kid, remember? He said suah would be his omega but that didnt happen). Keep in mind that literally everyone in juhyeoks family is an alpha.
Which is why i feel like everyone is looking past juhyeoks past and how much weight being an omega holds on juhyeok.

With the SA thing in juhyeoks room, i think it is a sensitive topic and im not gonna convince people about what is SA and what’s not. All im gonna say is that, i think suah doesnt have bad intentions. Hes quite obsessed and very down bad for juhyeok but IN MY OPINION hes not a red flag, theres definitely room for character development AND boundary setting but i still see where hes coming from and why he does the things that he does.

He's not a red flag nor the usual toxic ML that's true. He's flawed and paying the price of his actions. But he's not a monster or bad.

Anyway, one thing, the omega presented into one BECAUSE of the alpha. Maybe the alpha was not aware of that could happen because they're children who spent time together and alpha's pheromones presented first. That was innocent and not the alpha's fault, but this same alpha MADE it, with constant scenting, that he is the one and only for the omega. He alone took that decision, changing once again the Omega's whole life and relationships with others. All without his knowledge and consent. Omega can't be with any other alpha, not that he wanted to. Still. he was robbed of being able to choose once more. So I get his resentment towards the alpha. Omega already hates presenting as an omega under those circumstances, with all the prejudices he felt towards them and pride of being from an all alpha family, and like you said, not being able to fullfil that fantasy of being the alpha to what he considered a weak and cute omega, one he said he liked.

That's why the omega finds comfort with him and his pheromones, not because he choose that alpha or was fate. But because he was forced to.

I do believe he likes him too. He finds him attractive and likes the attention he receives from him. Omega knows that even if he wasn't an omega, the alpha would still be in love/obsessed with him. But he hates himself, his sub genre, him and what he did to him, so return those feelings naturally it's so complicated. And that's a big wall to climb but pretty sure in the end they'll find common ground, be true to their instincts and call the whole thing 'meant to happen', a 'fateful encounter '.

I can't wait for their development and how the other couples will get together.

apparently zhenyas character never changes. like, no redemption arc according to what others have commented, i think that might be what they meant. so no youre right, you cant imagine how his character could get better bc it literally doesnt

It was a bit hard for me to read, cuz it's written in 1st person perspective, but I think with the last chapter you've probably met all characters from the first book and there's only one arc left from the first book :D
