It's just because, aside for plot, lol, I think Cain genuinely trusts and likes Sid. In the raws, Cain looked like he liked and cared for Sid when they were younger. Even in the first few chapters, Cain acts like an annoying but good friend to Sid. Sid, being the ungrateful bitch he is, is taking advantage of our good boi Cain.

i started reading this a few months ago and i remember dropping cause i felt uncomfortable. so, i decided to read again cause i was bored in this quarantine. i finished it, and i feel so gross right now like, it had a really dark but well-thought out plot, but after reading i feel so guilty. this is why i usually stick to slice of life yaois, i cant handle these types of stories that well. ughh i feel gross
