So as I remember, the concubine will not be executed after this, because the emperor sided with her. So after that, the empress is ofc gets even more angry, and the most painful thing is that the empress learns that she is infertile (which is why she was chosen, so the bitch concubine will be the pregnant one and be the empress) but the empress didn't stop there.
The empress gives gifts to the concubine (flowers, food, perfume) and we now know that the empress sister also regains her memories. So her big sister, thanked her little sister, the empress for going on her stead (We know what happened in the past right?)
So together with their trusted allies they dig deeper to bring the concubine down. I think this is also the times where the emperor notices her wife and is having feelings for her.
Lord Emphreny, the concubine ally (who bought out the blue haired girl in the latest chapter) is married to a high ranking duchess. This Emphreny guy has a concubine also. Him and his real wife has a son together, but was sent to boarding school. Their son got sick, so the real wife went to his son. (This is the time where the Empress and her sister is doing their plan)
The fake wife of Emphreny also bears him a son, and the fake wife is also friends with the Emperor's concubine.
The concubine plans to attack the Empress when she was going back to the castle, but she failed. The empress finally has real proof that the concubine is a witch, and so was prisoned.

It was found out that the real wife of Emphreny was raped by her husband. They had a one night stand, but no consent. So the Emphreny guy uses this advantage to rise to the society. With the concubine prisoned, there is no support coming from Emphreny. (Okay, so the real wife has the rights to everything, but the husband is only in name. They divorced and the fake wife was thrown in the streets together with her son)
The concubine was sentenced to death, but she said they can't do that, because the empress is infertile so she's the only one who can produce an heir, but the empress said is she's infertile as well (turns out the gifts she was giving her was making her infertile)
Fast forward, the concubine was executed, the emperor and empress work out their feelings, and the empress was really fertile, and so they have kids.
We later learned that the concubine also has memories of the past, but she still died anyway.

Thank you so much! I'm sure it must have taken a lot of time to write that. But I'm a little confused about the Ephreny guy... If I understand correctly, he was married and had a child with his wife which and that child went to boarding school. But he also had a child with his concubine, right? But why would he help Rosemund? What does he gain out of that? And who was that blue-haired girl in the last chapter? Was she just some girl that Ephreny used to cover up Rosemund's mistake?
1) Rosemund knows his secret, you know what he did to his real wife. So of course, if his wife knows what he did to her, he will be send to the streets, because he has no name. He sided with Rosemund, so when she becomes Empress, she will giver him a title.

Actually no. Lucio did NOT side with anyone in the trial.
When he woke up and the empress went to his room to talk about Rosemond he agreed to have her banished (because he knows the extent of her actions and he also remembered the time when foreign nobles visited and Rosemond tried to change the menu with pork) but he did not want her dead because he "loved her".
What DOES happen is the fake evidence Patricia gathered is rendered useless as the maid with blue hair "admits" to her crimes and is sentenced to death instead of Rosemond. Despite that, Rosemond loses her noble title (the one Lucio gifted her), gets adopted by Duke Ephreny, and works her way into becoming concubine again using the Duke's status.
After Rosemond loses her title and leaves the palace, Patricia finds Lucio having an anxiety attack in his room. It's a side-effect of his childhood trauma. When Rosemond was around, she was the one who comforted him every night but because she's gone Patricia a responsibility to calm Lucio down (because he begs her). Lucio's childhood trauma is then revealed in that arc.
This emperor is a fucking dumbass simp just like soveishit im hoping this would take another turn(even tho it will not lol let me hope okay!) Like the empress would divorce this guy and just live happily with her sister lol !!! This gurl needs a rest(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
