I need information, who is the ML? Can you tell me
The MC fights a long protracted battle for power. Eventually, the emperor becomes obsessed with her. In his obsession he seeks to destroy her power & pride to force MC to bow to him. In the abdication arc, the emperor & the emperor’s uncle call her to court for failure to complete marital duties. Originally, the emperor abandoned the MC on the first night, so the marriage was not consummated. The emperor tries later to complete the first night. However, the MC refuses each time resulting in the scheduled nights she & the emperor were supposed to spend together each month to become void. This is against the law & can be cause for abolishment. In the courtroom, the High Priest asks the MC to sit. The chair represents a sinner, forcing them to sit below everyone else. The MC refuses & thus stands. The High Priest reads the charges. The emperor believes now is the time. He watches the MC clench her fist, struggling to calm down. He is smug & ready to hear her plead with him, however, he notices the MC becomes strange. He begins to yell at her, saying so long as she does her marital duties, she will remain empress. The emperor’s uncle is shocked by this & becomes angry. He hates MC because he wants a puppet. Now that she is being abolished, he also wants to keep her for himself. The High Priest calls for order & asks the MC again of her crimes. The MC admits she is guilty of refusing the emperor. She laughs. Her laugh resounds through the quiet courtroom, the emperor grows angry. The MC places her crown down & openly abdicates. After this the MC leaves the palace immediately. The emperor seeks to have back but he doesn’t succeed. The MC wanted to return to her homeland, where she previously learned from she was welcomed back by her young enthroned brother. However, during this time the country is facing rebellion. The MC did not want her homeland to face trouble resulting from the rebellion & thus also abdicating from her position as princess. She openly returns her status symbol, her ring, to the homeland’s messenger. The rebellion releases the information on the nobles. Just like MC’s mother, the emperor & his uncle were purposely withholding information about the monster tower’s in order to retain high power. They also wanted the towers to not be destroyed so the magicians may constantly use their abilities to assert dominance. This results in outrage over the mass loss of avoidable death. The citizens riot. The rebellion becomes heightened & the city is taken. The mistress’ brother goes to the mistress. He tells her to escape & later she can become pregnant in order to claim it is the emperor’s child. She refuses, & rushes to the emperor. She hands him poisoned wine. When he drinks it, she rings the bells of the tower, symbolizing his death, & finally kills herself. In the end, the rightful legitimate heir, the emperor’s half-sister, is crowned. Both Lionel & MC receive titles & later they marry.
Wow, that's intense. I can't wait for that all to happen. Great ending, he dies by the hands of his own mistress, whom he perceives as innocent and naive (at least this far). I also really love how MC is fighting not only for herself but for the population, she didn't bow to let the towers be used in her country and she isn't doing that in this country either, the population revolting when discovering the truth sounds perfect, if I lived there I would've done the same. Great to know they get a good ruler after he dies. Thank you so much for the spoilers ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Yes. That’s exactly what it is. MC refuses to abandon the people which is why she continued to fight. The good news is that MC’s enthroned brother admires her very much. After their mother cast her aside, the young emperor implements her previous ideas. The young emperor doesn’t believe in sacrificing the people either & seeks the destruction of the towers. Eventually the mother concedes. & np!
