obviously needs a rape tag, though I actually felt that in some aspects this manga dealt with the topic better than others. The seme realised what he was doing was wrong and made sure to get consent immediately after and every time after that. But any redeeming qualities stop there as I of course would've liked more time spent on it and I really really wish it wasn't full blown rape as I feel the same points could've been illustrated without such a graphic portrayal. That panel of the uke trying to get away was heartbreaking even with context. For example, the seme could've BEGUN to force himself onto the uke (through touching etc only) and force him to call him by his real name before realising what he's doing is not okay which is probably much more in character than just going straight to rape. He's a professional after all so you'd think he has some common sense regarding it. And then more time could've been spent on him regretting it, apologising and fixing his actions. Because my problem isn't always with depicting lack of consent or even rape. It's when it doesn't take the time to discuss and show why it is wrong and only uses it as a plot device. Even if you have a rape kink, it has its time and place with proper context and is a very different kind of novel to this. Anyway, I understand what the author was trying to do - they had to show that Haru's relationship is different with Tomoki than his other clients. He's normally composed and smooth-talking but with Tomoki he loses control of that facade. He realises he isn't only that cold, detached, nonchalant guy who has sex only for the fun of it. His friend was right in that he was getting tired and was missing something all this time. It was just poorly executed in this instance. I really like this manga to be honest. It has everything I like in it (excluding the rape) and the couple is genuinely cute. It's not wrong to like the manga nor should anyone be shamed for liking it, you just have to think critically sometimes and pick apart the good and bad. Just because you like it doesn't mean you approve of everything in it. And for people complaining that all the comments are about this, what's wrong with starting a discussion on it? People have a right to say what they want just like you are still allowed to enjoy the manga and say that the rape didn't bother you. If you want to discuss something else then discuss something else...don't come for people for expressing their opinion.
Precisely, it’s fine to express ur opinion on rape but it’s not fine to discredit the whole work, and saying it’s CRINGE. that’s just rude. It’s not fine to impose your views on others and say that people who liked the work are wrong in the head. People need to have RESPECT when commenting. Damnnnnnn
the love interest is kinda wrong for lying like in real life that could go very bad and is quite disrespectful to your partner. But also imagine if all men were this accepting it's so nice to see something like this waaaa
Did he acc kiss him cause I can't remember that? Margo
Yeah I went back and Yeonwoo saw a photo online of Keith kissing a white haired guy which is apparently his parent (or like equivalent to "mother" because it's the omega who birthed him). Apparently the media may have photoshopped it but still like wtf
