Trashta was already pregnant before entering the palace.
The father of the child was her old master(she's a slave) so when it came to light during the paternity test that the child wasn't the daughter of the emperor Sovieshu out of anger asked the man he suspected as the father to do the paternity test. And hold and behold he was the father. Then Edgy (?) bought a child that looks exactly like Trashta (white hair and lack eyes) and the reporter Johnson dig a document of a man that was a "slave" and that testified and have proof in paper that he has a daughter named Rashta that fit the name, appearance and age of Trashta the empress that took Navier's title. Plus this slave man that is Trashta's father came to the palace and there was many witnesses that saw Trashta trying to kill her father be cause he's a proof she's a slave.
btw in this story slavery is hereditary and you become a slave of your from an invaded country that no longer exist or you commit a crime.
So even if the Emperor burnt Trashta's slave document, the dots that she's a slave still came to light.
After Trashta's trial and being sentenced as a sinner for impersonating a commoner, a noble then taking the identity of another girl that has noble in her, she is an all round criminal and sadly if you do a crime you become a slave and that status is passsed to her children (really crud and strict slavery rule). Tho there are some exceptions like if you're a noble you can get executed, hanged, lost your title or exiled. But Trashta status was below dirt so she had no protection when the truth she's a slave came out.
(btw some people theorized that Soviesh's kingdom is based from Chinese or Asians history.... Which I think is sorta valid since the thing about punishing the entire family for one person crime is something I read and saw in Chinese light novel and anime based set in similar culture yo tha of Chinese aka saiunkoku).
The thing with Trashta pregnancy had clue throughout the story like they thought initially that she had "premature birth" but nah. She her pregnancy was normal. She was pregnant weeks before they announched and she thought she got pregnant.
