I was wondering if a part of the curse was to repel people from Ale. Like to decrease chances that the curse could be lifted by just anyone. I can't imagine everyone was so heartless as to leave him abandoned in an unclean room even with concerns that the curse is contagious? So when the curse is lifted suddenly people feel like being around/ helping him again as they should have always done. There is just so little awareness or understanding of why Ibee had become such an important person to Ale. You all abandoned a child to a slow lonely death!
