In one hand, seme blames himself for the uke's current circumstances. But it was the uke's choice to return to med school and accepted his father's backing. Although, I do believe seme needs to man up and sort out his life as well not just depend on uke. When he has something to be proud of, he doesn't have anything to be insecure of or be intimidated at.
In the other hand, uke blames himself for what happened in the past which made seme's life a series of misery. But it wasn't his fault. If only he persisted, if only he supported him. No matter how many "if only" he had back then, if the person concerned doesn't want it, he can't do anything about it. Seme was clear about not wanting to have to do with uke in the past so he needs to stop blaming himself.
In conclusion, they both chose this path so they could be together. They need to face everything TOGETHER, not fight each other. They need to speak, dialog, communicate, understand and stop doing hate sex

I've worked in a hectic schedule before where I developed many stress related illness. But hearing/reading so many authors/artists having to retire because of severe health issue, I just can't wrap my mind around how hard they work to the point of breaking a bone. Gawd!
Anyway, this was a good read by author's standard with a serious and realistic/relatable scenes. It's sad we have to say goodbye to this prematurely when it had so much potential for more. Praying for the author's/artist's smooth and fast recovery.
