Guy's been gone for 10 years. Back in high school, he kissed and confessed to Piano Guy (fellow student). But Piano Guy rejected his confession. He wasn't ready to leave "society"(I assume that means both his home town and his life as a non-gay, since gayness would make him a kind of "outcast" in a rural town.)

But dark-haired guy returns, and it turns out Piano guy has forced a reunion by offering the free place to stay. He also is making it clear, bit by bit, by expression and words that he's now open to the love he was offered before.

Dark-haired guy is still emotionally hurt by that rejection in the past, so he figures he better move out fast (the phone call). But Piano guy makes his last big move: He can stay there either as a roomie (not a relationship, so he'll pay) or as a lover (cohabitate for free).

The ending isn't as open-ended as it seems. It's clear the guy will accept "cohabitation." He still has feelings for PIano guy, and now Piano Guy is unafraid to proceed with the feelings of his own.

Also, I can't say how much I appreciate Sensei taking time to portray the different facets of strong women (in their own way) during that time period.

Firstly, of course, the widow, Sayuri-san. Every time she appears in the frame, she exudes so much charisma.
Then, the sister, Hacchan. even if she didn't appear often, you can see her trying really hard to reconcile the mule-headed men in her family.
The unnamed woman who waited with Aoi on the pier. It takes a strong will to wait for a loved one, as many military wives would testify.
The Ginza women, of course! Young women trying to face this new post-war world bravely!

Totally agree with you, this is one of the very few yaoi mangas which portrayed women in a good light and not as scheming bitches.ヾ(☆▽☆).

However, I think that since theae webtoons keep going for many chapters, and considering this is only chapter 17, I'm not giving up hope yet.

I don't understand love that flourish easily after a rape/multiple rape in yaoi story. how can you trust easily somenone who hurt you so badly and humiliate you? Even if you love i think something is break. forgiveness need time and comprehension.

Fortunately this is a long manhwa so i wish this psychologic part be exploited in the futur chapters. i hope the manhwa don't take the easily road and explain everything by the seme sad past and by a submissive uke. Right now i don't like how Shiro don't resist to lucaon. It looks like he forgive his attitude.. it is embarassing for me, the reader, and the story seems superficial because of this.
So i don't giving up too ;)
