You know I’ve been wondering this since the begining but if both Cayden and his brother didnt want to be king, why didnt they just push Eden to be King? They knew he would be a better king than his father (im using he/his as they thought him to be a man then)?? They could have just killed the old king and put eden on the throne. I mean I dont think eden was that attached to his father that he would mourn his death. Can somebody clarify??
Eden is supposed to be dead.
I forgot the details but I think Mcfadden, Eli or Cayden were rushing to protect Eden in the revolt but when they got there the royal family was dead.
But in reality Eden's mom pushed her behind a secret passage and told her to run so she became Edna and survived.
That's why they cried so much when they found out Edna was Eden cuz they failed to protect Eden and thought he was dead.

I found it ch 80 page 2 McFadden explains that even though they knew Eden had the potential to be king they chose to sacrifice him/her. It's during the flashback of Cayden the current king being sacrificed to the dogs. Their plan was to sacrifice Eli and Edna and make Cayden king. Sacrificing Eli because they said they can't let a Hayden become king because it will just look like revenge to other people and their family. The talk ends with Edna telling McFadden their decision was just and right and she doesn't blame them but doesn't explain why they didn't protect Eden.
I'm guessing maybe because even if McFadden and Cayden knew Eden was a good person, everyone else just treats Eden as the King's son so it was probably too hard to deal with convincing the revolting people to protect the King's son cuz they're mad af at the asshole king. So their desperate plan was dead Eden and Eli and make Cayden king.
Maybe we'll get more info during the war :D Since the author hasn't said a thing about Cayden and his time as king yet. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

SAME! I don’t really wanna see a battle against Yakushi again mainly cause we saw them battling seido plenty of times already and it’ll be too repetitive. Instead I want them to go against ichidai who they couldn’t win against cause the batters couldn’t not hit their pitches. So rather than playing yakushi who they’ve won against before I rather see them fighting ichidai again and have them win against them. It is only this way that we’ll see growth and progress
