What I am about to say doesn't really apply to this story as much but I am just making a comment abt omegaverse bl in general. I don't really like the whole idea is a rut. I know that it is a big part of a lot of omegaverse stories but it almost feels like "the rut" is an excuse to inclue really rough, senseless, and almost rape-y sex. In almost all of the omegaverse stories that I've read (which is not a lot), the omega usually ends up crying and begs the alpha to stop. An omega not being able to handle really agressive/long/painful sex should not mean that they are less or anything of the like. I think that these tropes also negatively impact the idea of consent // it makes the idea of consent a bit cloudy.
Omegas just have to deal with unpleasant/painful sex because their aplha's rut occured. I don't really like reading the rut/heat scenes bc...
1. The alpha hurts the omega/beta. Also, we know that it is bad because the alpha usually feels really guilty after and apologizes. Like in love shuttle.
2. The idea that an alpha is out of his mind and isn't thinking straight reminds me isn't really romantic or loving.
3. I also don't like the idea of Omegas also not being in their right mind. It reminds me of someone being drunk or high. You can't consent to sex when you are under the influence. Also, in love is an illusion, the idea the hyesung almost turns into a different person when he is in heat. He has sex with Dojin but when he wakes up the next morning, he regrets it. He didn't want to have sex but it isn't looked over because it is an omegaverse.
This isn't a direct comment towards you / it was an attack on you, I was just writing my thoughts. I feel like a lot of people enjoy these kinda smut scenes but I just never really like them when the omega is in pain.
