No not. He’s not using tay. It’s more on like he learned tay was interested in him and he got interested and a bit obsessed with tay when he learned it. Then ilay came in and xinlu’s radar kept getting off since he got a feeling ilay is also interested in tay and he really hates ilay cuz he knows he cant beat him.
Xinlu grew up being privileged boy in a ridiculously rich fam and got used to everything going his own way. But ilay is a person he knows he cant win and he hate that feeling.
Xinlu’s feeling is actually a mixture of liking tay and to have tay choose him instead of ilay cuz yeah bro hates ilay and dont want to lose to him. He wants ilay to experience what’s it like to lose to him. You could say that hate at first sight is xinlu’s feeling for ilay hahaha
