For me personally
If he has already told me that he might be late cause of work, i would wait for him as long as he want since he said he would be there asap after the work was done amd if he was late like over an hour like in this situation we got here, i would actually be glad since nothing bad happened to him and at least he didn't left me there alone for the whole night and then said something like"oops i forgot about you sorry..."
Also the night had not end yet, we could just have a datenight at home
But then again i umderstand G
He don't want to get hurt so he is trying to habe things clear out, he wants to be secured
