When khoal first did that to river I hated his guts and wanted him to suffer in eternal loneliness, but now, although I'd never want them to be together ever again, I really want them to be friends. In a way, I understand why Khoal did what he did, and I know he fully regrets his actions, but I can't help but admire what he did. He sacrificed everything, even the one who really loved him, for the person who meant everything to him. That's all I could ever hope to want in a partner. I'm happy with how everything turned out.
