I can tell the author tried to pass of the blackmail to the mc as some comical joke but that’s by no means funny. She literally is being forced to work with no pay from the contract, and at the same time is being forced to be a consort candidate. Horrible. Plus, the prince isn’t doing anything about it?! Dang. Dude, you are not suited to be king. Go get some morals and come back with a better secretary.

My theory is the old servant man told the newer servant to put paintbrushes in namkyum’s room because the old man was in town and heard the rumors about the fiancé being a girl. He wants the new servant to see what’s happening for himself and go out to let the townspeople know that the servant painter boy is the fiancé, not a random woman. I’m not sure why the old man would want this, maybe he wants his master Seungho to be put in a bad light and be punished for forcefully taking Namkyum’s innocence. I think the old man likes Namkyum more in a father to son way, so this is his way of getting what he thinks is revenge for Seungho forcing Namkyum to do rated r things.

Oh I never explained why it would put Seungho in a bad light. Back then it was homosexuality was considered really bad, so the townspeople has a horrible view of Seungho, who they saw as a rich young master indulging himself in homosexual activities and playing around day and night. If Seungho has finally settled down, especially with a girl, then the townspeople would start to think of him differently and most likely more positively. I know people might be upset that people used to have a bad opinion of homosexuality, I’m glad times have changed.

that seems so unlikely. If anything, SH's servant does his best to keep informed of rumors and try and cover up for the stuff SH does. I dont think the last part of the chapter was meant to be that deep. Besides, NK doesnt sleep in his own room. He spends the night at SH's. So the other servant putting the supplies in NK's room would reveal nothing. It is well known in the household that NK spends a lot of time in SH's room.

In my opinion, the servant is relatively new, and isn’t as scared of Seungho as the other servants are yet. It’s highly likely he would’ve somehow leaked what he saw. Also, Seungho does come into Namkyum’s room to do it. Besides they’re going at it so loud I’m sure you can hear them from Namkyum’s room anyways. Maybe I read too much killing stalking and over analyze lots of chapters but I’m sure the old servant asked the new one to move the paintbrushes for a reason, hence a cliffhanger.

I actually think that it's the oppposite and that the old servant actually does like seungho. He once told nakyum that seungho was hurt deeply when he was younger and that is why he is acting like that. It seemed like he was sympathizing with him and trying to reason with his actions.
And remember in that one chapter when he didn't want to wake him up, because "it was the first time that his lord was finally able to sleep so long".
I think those are all signs that he's a loyal servant who takes care of him and now his lord's lover too.
Damn ya know doyun’s brother with the fluffy hair if you don’t have anyone please take meeeeeeeeeeeee
