ikr, and honestly I'm fine with forgiving, but you have to make them accountable at least. I've never seen once an FL that would just let it all out and shout at the abusive family how awful they were and hypocritical for caring about her only after transmigration.

I understand mental health wasn’t understood back then, but now it is, and sadly i do not have any abilities that would allow me to change my mindset in 2sec. So i can’t understand their mindset either.

But the thing is they didnt know about the abuse. That's why they were so shocked and wanted to get to the bottom of this. Although I don't forgive them AT ALL (since it was still their daughter/sister) I can understand the actions behind everything happening. It doesn't justify anything though

I can give blue hair and granpa the benefit of the doubt since granpa is probably the busiest out of the bunch and blue hair just releases dumbass energy, but blonde hair definitely knew. He pretty much acknowledged that red b*tch was bad, and that she didn’t like FL when she went asking for the kitchen’s key. If he knows that 1+1 is 2 then he should know that obvs red b*tch did sumn to our FL. But yeah, can’t forgive them either.

The OG FL was kind of "brat like". She threw a lot of tantrums and stuff. And she also yelled and she was pretty rude. The fact that the blondie held himself back from petting her also kinda showed that he thought she hated her and the all of the family as well (which also proved they didnt know about the abuse). The reactions when they found out about the redhead b*tch abusing her was also enough to prove that they didn't know.

Like another comment said, back then, they didn't have a lot of knowledge about mental health. They probably thought that the "attempted suicide" thing was for attention, since she was known for throwing tantrums. And they probably also thought she was crazy--since thats how things were back then. If you were depressed they immediately thought you were crazy, and if you did kill yourself it was a "disgrace" to the family and a disgrace for their honor.

I actually kinda find this webcomic historically accurate! I don't really like the brothers and the grandpa and I don't justify their actions, but it's pretty realistic historically.



























I'm a victim of child abuse and I suffer from depression, and I know first hand how much this shit hurts--I do understand that it's because of the time period that this webcomic is set in, which is why I like it! I really like this webcomic because it sheds light on mental health and how things were back in the day, and how we're so lucky to be living present time!

It's not "obvious" to find out if a child is being abused. And he even said it first hand why the red head b*tch didn't like her (which is because she poses a threat to her). On top of that the woman was also pretty manipulative so she could have easily twisted everything around. It's not as easy as 1+1=2 if you're trying to see if a child is being abused.

I do understand that the mindset was really different, so i can only understand their actions but i can’t sympathize with them at all though. But when someone is mad isn’t the most logical reaction to ask why are they mad? It still bothers me how no one thought about checking on her once. What bothers me even more is how their feelings about her changed so quickly, and how they, quoting their words, deemed her as « useful ». But well, I’m actually not expecting anything from them except an actual apology !

Yeah yeah I can understand that!!! I'm also mad at them for that as well. And I'd really like an apology too. The mindsets and the time period are all different, and not to mention everything was full of misunderstandings and resentment towards one another. And I also hate how everything got resolved so quickly. I'm hoping that the siblings and grandfather apologize to her and there'll be a loving brother/sister bonding moment!

While this is absolutely no excuse more a look into his character, she repeatedly describes blond bro as a snake. He may have feelings involved but will never act on them if it doesn't bring him anything of value, he's not meant to be liked per se, just add an interesting dynamic. He makes you think he's a safe haven but in reality, even if he loves you, he may give you a chance but will easily cut you off if you plan to harm him in any way.

So with that in mind, I believe he knew the step mom was mistreating her but didn't know as to how much after I took a look at the raws. From his expressions he had no idea that the abuse was physical. From before the step mom moved in however, his sister (not the MC the girl who was in the body before) was an absolute bitch. This also ties in with why the other brother hated her as she was physically violent at times herself. Now knowing that this was the result of being ridiculed for being the child of a low class woman, blond bro didn't do much about it since she was justified in some way but hated how she reacted to everything in the most negative way even after people (not very many but they did try) tried to help her. So this goes back to his character before about how, if something is harmful he'll cut it off and away from him.

So this is what he means by hating that she was gloomy. His sister was a victim but so were the people she antagonized and lashed out against, including their own brother.

Yeah but it wasn't just about the mental health. Woman back in thoes days were to look pretty and be married off to have a son. It's really f up how it was back then for woman and let's not forget how young the girls were when they were married off. Like I said it was f up. And the original mc was probably seen as useless because she had mental health issues and no one then would marry her. I think that's why they didnt care is because if she can't get married she was useless to them.

true. also when I found out before that the emperor will have concubines (but its expected in their era) I kinda felt sad. but knowing the ladies.. I think theyre okay
