I saw some comments saying that Sagara cheated on Aoi with that woman but is it really cheating though? I saw them more as sex friends than anything before Aoi eventually accepts his feelings for Sagara. Sagara may have slept with that woman but you can't say that he's the only one at fault. He's taken care of Aoi for 13 years, eventually falls for him, they have sex but he has to bear with him calling out another man's name. Aoi is pretty stubborn and Sagara is a really patient man for putting up with him. Sagara may have been harsh to him but he's trying to make him move on and take the right path. He was able to give Aoi the determination to confront his problems, find a job so that he doesn't have to rely on his mother and really I think he's the right person for him. We see this story on Aoi's POV more than Sagara's and I think we should try to understand it from Sagara's POV as well.

Kan-chan truly the best boy. At the end of the chapter, the author says something about liking 3P so imagine Kan-chan and 2 Hayashida
I'm so surprised that Watase Yuu wrote this, and I think she said it took her at least 10 years in the interview at the end wow :O
Many people aren't satisfied with the ending but tbh it's pretty understandable. Souma comes from a wealthy family and is expected to marry someone with the same rank while Masataka is simply a normal citizen, if they were to keep a romantic relationship, Masataka would end up being his concubine or something. You have to take into consideration that the story is set in the 1920s (at least I believe) where homosexual relationships are taboo and if caught, they could be punished pretty badly. The ending is bittersweet and fits the story. However the author says in the interview that they might meet again in the future so she leaves that up to our imagination.
