He already does. Live isn’t always about words. It’s also about body language. Healing isn’t like homework but rather like an exam you need to study for. Not every human can’t fix himself , not even with help. Words can make things even worser , but showing a meaning through body language can’t be misunderstood expect you rape your partner like Masatos ex did. Asahi hugged him and that means something like „I’m sorry, you know I have my problems, I want to depend on you, but I see myself as burden“ and Masato exactly knows what he means Yk. He isn’t forced into this and wouldn’t live Asahi for his behavior or problems. Depending on someone and being there for someone isn’t always about love. It’s sympathy

I think you don’t understand both characters. Do you really think the author writes characters without taking anything serious? Do you think the author does this for some drama?. I have both volumes at home and always reread them. I’m at least trying to understand both characters and no ! If you would leave a person in a relationship behind only cuz he isn’t able to depend on you yet then you are stupid af . Not depending on someone doesn’t always mean you dont trust or love him. In this case it’s about Asahi having issues and yes it definitely hard for Masato for not getting the same treatment like he gives Asahi, but he knows him well and he would have already left if he was bothered. Even if this doesn’t end well at least it’s a realistic story. You can’t always expect it to run like you want to. It’s not your story anyways and it’s not Asahis fault. He sees himself as a burden which many people do nowadays and it’s because of bad experiences. If a person like him would be in a relationship with you and you would rush him to start a development and force him to open up to you then you would just make things worser. It’s like trying to change a person to be perfect for you and this is something we should never do.
What exactly do you expect ? Even if this is a fictional character - you don’t know how he feels so you aren’t allowed to complain actually. Till now we saw more from Masato then from Asahi to be honest. From his perspective. Two whole volumes about Masatos perspective. Why not giving him his time as well? I’m not hating it, but this is one reason to not blame Asahi for anything. They are helping each other - Masato is showing his love differently and Asahi is starting to feel this love as well. Didn’t you read this chapter. In one of the panels he said how he feels when being with Masato. He said something like „Sex wouldn’t be the same without Masato“ I think he means generally his life. He always talks about how Madato being the one protecting him and thought he only feels like this and Masato doesn’t depend on him and sees him as burden, but now he knows. He knows Masatos feelings so he is going to open up as well, but this is going to take some time cuz his father may passed. DONT RUSH HIM

Patience plays a major role in relationships and also in Story’s. If you aren’t a patience person and hate how they handle things then just leave tbh. Some authors may write random stuff , but this one knows what he/she does.

@ Can’t stop reading: Honestly, actions speak louder than words, Asahi really needs to value Masato more and it is my opinion on the current situation of the characters may be as the story progresses things will change but as of the update these are my thoughts, and I stand by it but if you feel differently that's your opinion but really stop hating and trying to disregard another's opinion just because you don't like it. You saying leave just because someone disagrees with the current situation of the characters is really disregarding someone's right to have an opinion on the manga and last time I checked this was a comments section we are all free to write our thoughts on the plot.

My first comment was also my opinion about how I see things. My second opinion was also about this dude. I said “I think you don’t understand them at all” or at least I don’t think he is okay with me sharing my opinion and doesn’t understand me at all. I never meant to say “It’s okay if they fuck around and don’t come to the point”
So I replied again with how I see things and I was really frustrated about what he said.

Yes, I understand that how recessivegene voiced their opinion triggered you, but let's be fair and civil in our disagreements, I certainly respect and value both your opinions and whilst I agree and disagree with you both on some level I really dislike when commentators try to stop others from voicing unpopular/disagreeing opinions by telling them to stop reading or leave the comment section. Honestly, we are all individuals and won't generally all see things from one perspective so please let us all try not to discredit each other by using personal discouraging comments.

I personally am a huge fan and love all the mangaka's previous works this story so far is only just being properly fleshed out and in my opinion, based on the update, it's kind of far from a healthy relationship so far yes you are right body language says a lot but actions and voicing your feelings goes a long way to properly convey your exact meaning to your partner instead of leaving them guessing what exactly you mean.

Realistically would you like your partner to forget your birthday or you almost always being the understanding one who would fix disagreements between you? I'm just curious to know because even if Masato says he is fine if you go back and read between the lines at his expressions and body language you can tell how disspirited he was at the time. Anyway it's only my opinion I am sorry if I came off a little harsh.

It’s not harsh from you how you said it and I respect your opinion. I also sound sometimes harsh or I am cuz of some toxic people. I gotta say communication on social media is actually hard. I’m just glad that you responded and I’m sorry if I wasted your time or something. I wanted to clear some misunderstandings and if you ever see some harsh comments from me here in this comment section then only cuz I’m frustrated about the whole hate on Asahi. In the end they are fictional characters and we shouldn’t go aboard to much because of it. We aren’t at the end yet. This also goes to myself. agreed. It’s not a healthy relationship, and I believe they won’t be talking about it (I hope not, just a hunch) since they will talk about the death of Asahi’s father. And I believe the manga is now completed, someone here told me so. still, I wish the author has done something about the half assed communication, it was masato talking there. there’s this scene wherein after they had sex, asahu was about to apologize. well, I am thinking maybe the author deliberately done that to stretch the story for the next chaps or so?

The manga is
completed in Japan since November if I remember correctly. I definitely will miss this story. It’s my favorite one. In March they will sell this volume worldwide I think so we can buy it then. I don’t know how many chapter it dies have, but I saw on twitter some panels with Asahi and Masato continue with their life’s happily.

I'm waiting for the compleated chapters to be translated with a lot of mixed feelings. I am happy for the HEA but sad that it's going to be over for their story soon. I hope that the issues they still have not worked on will be getting some spotlight and we can have a proper conclusion to their story.

I feel you, this is exactly how I felt at the end of my favorite bl story Heaven official's blessing. I literally cried for a week a reread it over 10 times and still am not over the fact that something that had a great impact on my life has ended. It's truly heartbreaking when a beloved series that you have come to expect more of comes to an end.

I have problems with understanding and remembering names in Chinese novels. I only read and understand MDZS but anything else is kinda complicated to understand for me. I like heaven official blessing as well and tried to read it and other ones like scumbag system, but I’m bad in English and when I read the novels I get confused often. I needed to rewatch MDZS about 3 times till I got the plot and then I read the novel. Didn’t have to much problems with it and it’s the only Chinese novel I literally have fallen in love with. The Drama (the untamed) and the manhua are also amazing.

Same, some Chinese names are hard to remember because they are so similar to each other so it's easy to get confused between characters. Heaven official's blessing recently got an animated adaption you should definitely give it a watch as it explains and condenses the original novel's plot quite nicely so that even us non-Chinese speakers can understand the story better.

I also love Mo Dao Zu Shi it was one of the first Chinese novels I read, the Untamed was a good adaption although not very faithful to the content of the original novel, the animated series was a lot more faithful.

I'm not really a fan of the Scum Villain story the main characters' relationship, in my opinion, is too toxic for my liking.

True true , hmmm sadly they can’t adapt everything from the novels cuz China is against BL literally. You can see kiss scenes in the manhua and read nsfw in the novel, but they won’t adapt them into the series which is sad. I have heaven official blessing on my list and MDZS season 3 trailer/teaser came out recently. I’m excited :>

The sad reality of Chinese censorship laws. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ It's gotten so bad that in some donghua's I watched they even created a straight couple out of an originally gay one (like outright changed the gender of the male shou/ uke/bottom to female).

And I agree, the manhua is a lot better with the physical chemistry and love developments of the characters. I have watched the anime for both Heaven official's blessing and Mo Dao Zu Shi, the animators did a good job with portraying the chemistry of the main pairings.
