One of the best things I read seriously, The Slow Burn, was fantastic. Nothing was too quick, and the way it just developed into not really friendship yet, but they knew they couldn’t be away from each other, and then not really a relationship, but they became friends who loved each other and wanted to be together. The 6-year gap really hurt. I just hate time jumps, but this was beautiful, and I’m content with the ending.
