I'm conflicted whether to read this or not. Did the FL really cheated? I read the comments here that she did but the comments on other sites said she didn't I'm so confused

technically yes and no. the fl only briefly kissed the half brother before she run away. the reason why she did that is because the half brother suggest that she used him because it's the only way ML will notice and pay attention to FL (because ML hate his half brother), FL being desperate to have ML look at her and pay attention to her decide to accept and use half brother. but not once did the FL like the half brother.
Sorry I know this isn't the place for this but just let me get this out or else I feel like it'll affect me psychologically in the long term..
I used to not mind reading stuff with contents like this but after what happened to Yu Menglong last month, I get nausea and the urge to vomit. Heck I even dreamed about him last night and right now I just can't stomach anything related. I'm not a die hard fan of Yu Menglong but he made such a huge impression on me since Eternal Love was the first Chinese drama I've watched. Now, everytime I read anything with an actor+rape content, I feel sick to my stomach. I hope to read this again someday but I guess I'll have to pause right now

He was murdered (played as suicide) also it's been shared he has been SAd by higher ups in the entertainment industry + some high official took a liking with him. But he did not want to plus he saved or gathered evidence regarding the issue smth like that but he was tortured and he saved the usb by swallowing it, but he was drugged and got toxicated that his assailants opened up his stomach to retrieve the usb. I decided to check some novel spoilers. NOTE: I didn't read all spoilers so do take this comment with a pinch of salt.
First of all,some might hate me for this but I DON'T REALLY REAAAAALLY like the ML, I really hope the manhwa adaptation will add and change several things. Heck,the MC's father's behavior towards his wife was so angelic compared to the ML. At least the MC's father still has some respect for his wife unlike the ml who couldn't keep his dick in his pants.
So here's some spoilers I've read regarding the 1st timeline:
*MC and the ML fell in love with each other at first sight but the ML fell out of love because of her worsening behavior and the fact that she wasn't getting pregnant. Of course there's the mistress stuff too.
*There's no magic or brainwashing involved, the ML really fell in love with his mistress,the blue haired girl and got her pregnant.
*Some spoiler-giver kept justifying the ml's cheater behavior, blaming it on the MC's toxic and paranoid behavior. Well shit, she was manipulated her whole life and drugged by the nanny(the nanny is actually one of the first imperial consort's people), no wonder she's getting crazy and not getting pregnant. Instead of being worried because he supposedly 'love' her and check on why the MC's behavior is turning strange and not even check her health on why she wasn't getting pregnant even tho they've been together for years, he decides it's better to leave her on her own and fall for another woman and get her pregnant instead.
* The only one who really mourned the MC's death is her father the marquis,crying while hugging her dead body.
*No one knew until the end of the series that the MC was drugged and manipulated in the 1st timeline.
*The ML didn't remember the 1st timeline
*There's no side story of ML after MC's death in the first timeline.
*And lastly,NO. THERE'S NO REDEMPTION ARC because the ML genuinely fell in love with the blue haired girl so where would we get any redemption? Maybe he got some vague thought of MC after the her death but that's it. No crying or regret whatsoever.
It's been a while since I get to feel uncomfortable about a series I read, one of the reasons is because the ML really loved the blue haired girl and prolly got a happy ending with her in the 1st timeline without knowing what really happened to the MC, and I have this feeling that even if he comes to know,he wouldn't have cared anymore since the blue haired girl is finally the one he loves and treasures and not the MC anymore. Also,the fact that the MC and ML still ended up together in the 2nd timeline makes me so darn frustrated. Rant end.

He ends up with Alice and they have a son together. For the Teresa lovers she gets kinda what if I like to call it scenario where she ends up with him. But ultimately he does end up with my girl Alice at the end of the story.

There is no harem or romance...... so far that I've seen. There's more fan girl service tho with the gorgeous guys flirting with one another but more in a comedic n bromance way

I gotta say that I love the relationships of the characters in this series,they are complex and not flat. Like you can feel the confusion of the characters because you will really understand their point of view.
I love how Lilith can say that she loves Oscar(similar to how she loves her father)
I love Cheshire's unending love for Lilith and how much he respects Oscar to the point of wanting his approval in marrying Lilith, even opposing Lilith when she wanted to deceive Oscar because Oscar has been delaying in giving his approval of Lilith and Cheshire's marriage even though he's not against it
I cried and love it when Oscar wrote to Lilith in which he called Lilith "My Love" because I really believe Lilith is Oscar's greatest love. I don't think he meant it romantically tho,because I think Oscar isn't romantically interested with anyone even from the start and now that I'm nearing the end of the 2nd side story, there's still no sign of it changing.
I love how honest Enoch can be. Like when he told Oscar that he will think of including Oscar for everything he'd do
(Of course he didn't say this romantically, because he thinks of Oscar as a member of their family.)If I was asked what I feel about Enoch and Oscar's relationship, it's like they're blood-related brothers who aren't close with each other but they have this unbreakable trust in each other that no matter what, everything they do is for the sake of Lilith's happiness.

You can hate the mother,Selena, all you want because you're definitely gonna hate her even more as the series goes.
Even her 2nd husband(Marquis Ludendorff) will turn his back on her later on. Why? Because she's a monster of a human being. I get that she's scared of the emperor but to get your own peaceful life at the expense of your own daughter with little to no remorse? You're also gonna know later on what more disgusting shit she did to the MC and the reason why Oscar hates her more than he did the emperor. And guess what, she will side with the emperor and will order her son, Kyle, to massacre innocent commoners later on. Selena is like the personification of the ugly side of humans, she's willing to sacrifice others in order to live, be it her daughter, innocent commoners, or her son's mental well-being.
Kyle, Lilith's half-brother, is a good child, he doesn't want to hurt the commoners. Thankfully he inherited his father's good nature. Just like what Enoch did right after Lilith was born, Marquis Ludendorff, in order to protect Kyle from having to kill the commoners, will take Kyle and his newborn 2nd child away leaving Selena and everything behind. The revolutionary army lead by Enoch will capture Selena in the future, tho whether she's been killed or not has not been revealed yet (I'm currently reading the 2nd side story but there's still no mention of what happened to her after the revolution.)

Just gonna rant cuz I'm so annoyed right now. This is what happens when someone in position has a bias character and prefers to make themselves happy instead of respecting what the author wrote. I'm gonna read the last parts of the novel and convince myself that the latest chapter of the manhwa doesn't exist. Gosh that was so awful,awkward,and full of nonsense. This latest chapter made me feel like Aisha's life was a joke with the way it was handled. I'm not sure if it was the artist, script writer or whoever it was. I could care less to who it was, but they sure really did this series dirty just because Marianne is their favorite character in this series for who the fuck knows the reason why.
