No offense, I still like the plot and art. But why does this feel so....weird? It took such a confusing turn. So their saying that this kingdom or empire hates any kind of singing aside from praising them? Tf is this communism or sum shit? My memory is a little foggy but I remember her main goal was to protect her family, so I thought this was gonna be a political mystery drama-esque story. Now with this new development I have no idea what is happening and can only appreciate the art. Can anyone explain?

Chapter 5 gave me the shivers, I tell you. Seeing the naivety of the MC get crushed bit by bit by the things happening around her, and the words of her brother finally being the last thin straw. That last panel....oof the emotion in her eyes is so nice to see, the drawers really nailed it on this one. This chapter probably sets the stone of the MC’s character development and it was executed quite beautifully. By now she’s probably thinking along the lines of ‘damn, am I that useless?’ or ‘is this how little people expect of me?’. It’s time for her to grow up and mature, and I’m so excited to watch her development throughout the story.
