Like, it is gut wrenching to read, and it makes me feel sad and upset for Dan, HOWEVER I do like the stories with suffering and angst, not every story is meant to be all sunshine and rainbows and there's so much genuine hate for the story I dont really understand.. Like JK is a horrible dude (though good looking LOL) and he's close to realizing what an asshole he's been the entire time, I am interested to see where this is going but I also understand this kind of story isn't for everyone.
Im just kinda afraid the author would stop telling their story, i am genuinely intrigued to see where this is going and I always wonder if pages like these showcase so much hate and frustration with the story, how other sites go, and if this would affect the authors writing of the story?
I guess what I'm trying to say is, stop reading if you genuinely hate the story, why bother reading smth you hate when there are so many stories out there who will fit your taste?
Maybe it is also a cultural difference at play here? I'm not entirely sure but I am so confused about so many hateful comments..
As one of the people who are highly disappointed with Jinx I'm going to try and explain why.
Firstly, it's not about the angst I personally enjoy angst, character development and slow burn, but Jinx is just a story about abuse honestly :/ it's been 63 chapters and Jaekyung hasn't had an inkling of character development. Sure he chased after Dan and he almost came as soon as he put it in but those can be explained by their physical compatibility or Jaekyung being too prideful to let someone go on their own term bc he'd see it as a loss. We know as readers that he's catching feelings but realistically Jaekyung does not know anything about Dan beside what he likes in bed and his work ethic because he's never cared enough to know, which is why him falling in love doesn't make sense.

And the second and biggest reason as to why readers are highly disappointed with Jinx is because of Mingwa (the author) herself. Most of us have followed her first work named BJ Alex, which is a "classic" and very loved bl by the community. However Jinx is BJ Alex but with worse story telling. Please go read the 45th and 46th chapter of BJ Alex and then re-read the 63rd chapter of Jinx. They're the exact same. Panels, dialogues, personality of the characters, it's all the same. Except Jaekyung is Alex with his flaws exaggerated.
Mingwa rewrote her first work, she made people interested by making the tops personality more extreme to bring more reactions from readers and overall hasn't improved on anything beside her art.

i did read BJ alex and really enjoyed it, it made me cry and laugh so many times, but it has been a while since I last read it so I would need to re-read the chapters you mentioned to really see the comparison, when I was just reading Jinx chapters it did not really read as BJ alex to me? Maybe thats just a different opinion I guess.
I can understand being frustrated and annoying, but I also read that the chase arc will be slow and JK will be suffering a lot through it as she likes it when the top has to beg after behaving like an asshole, so I do look forward to more emotional suffering for JK as well, while I do feel sorry for Dan he is doing exactly whats needed to hammer home the point to JK that he is an asshole and pathetic, I am just assuming here, but I believe after they had Sex Dan will avoid him again, he wont give in emotionally and it will drive JK crazy, at least this is what I think will happen from Mingwas author notes?
Either way, I do understand people being frustrated but I am still worried about a lot of the hate comments, if they are only contained here then fine, but I am so scared of another creator stopping their stories due to western people attacking them over fiction they dont like, because in my opinion if one doesnt like a story or is frustrated, they should just drop it and move on and focus/read stories they enjoy more?
I personally get sitting through a few disappointing chapters, but like you said it is been 63 and you dont seem to like it, so I think its fine if you want to stop reading?

Your English is perfect! I can understand it perfectly (it's not my first language either).
I don't think western readers have that much say in what's getting axed or not, it would be Korean fans who do. Plus we're reading an unofficial translation on an illegal website, the author and her editors will never see what we wrote about her work so dw :)
As for dropping the series, it's the first chapter that really frustrated me so I can't say yet how I feel about this haha I'll wait a few more before deciding

I'm not necessarily involved in fandoms either but I do get reactions on my feed on social media (again, from Western fans, I have no idea what the kr fans think of it).
From what I've seen and read most people are still entertained by the story, people's frustration comes from how similar Jinx is to the author's last work ("BJ Alex") which isn't about the story itself but more about Mingwa's lack of inspiration.
I will still follow the story! After 63 chapters I'm too invested in what's going to happen next to give up haha

Maybe but the way it was shown/ drawn did not really give me this impression it more so comes across as the author making Kwon weak for the sake of some SA plot point thats so not needed and added 0 to the story .-.
