even if it isn't directly related to the story, it's nice to see some trans representation. Especially since it seems that the character being trans isn't going to be the entirety of her story, at least in my opinion. We're just excited to see some trans representation that's also done well and isn't being used as some throwaway joke at their expense.

Yeah, and even though the MC herself is not trans, it seems like the trans woman is an important part of the 'cast' of the manga and probably someone the MC herself knew in the past. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Well, not 'probably knew' but you get the gist of what I'm saying.

MC is not trans. It’s that Camilla, MC’s friend who is a trans.
Camilla originally is named Camilo, and biologically male, but mentally and spiritually is a woman.

You may not understand but representation of minorities (especially transgender people) is very scarce.


And even more so for a trans person to be shown in a way that them being trans isn't just a plot point of trauma and shit to overcome.

Just a trans person, normal and living like they exist in real life.

Getting excited over a small bit of representation may not seem important but to be able to relate to relate to a character makes a person feel more safe and normal.

Thus the hype

I think they didn't realize that Camilla was trans and thought this thread was just sorta random, like I didn't realize until I re-read the chapter, I dont think they were being malicious
