I think he found a way to control mirrors (I think his family had the same ability and abused him just to get him to have that power too) but the mirrors create these shadow copies of the person with the powers and they usually oblige to whatever malicious or evil thought the person thinks or wants

I think that Yeon switched with his evil mirror persona or he's so corrupted by that he became the evil persona. Thats why he's able to control things in the house. Like the hands and looking through mirrors. While Joon hasn't been fully corrupted or switched with his mirror persona yet.
