The biggest enigma to me is when those who complain about the rape continue to read the manga and then resume complaining about it. If rape bothered them so much, why continue investing time into reading the manga only to complain about rape even more? No amount of complaining will change what the author decided to incorporate into her manga. (￢_￢)

Alex is a jerk and HONEST about his preferences. Alex NEVER lied to DG even though he came off an asshole. DG wanted to play, but he was selfish and deluded to think he can change Alex. Sadly, people like DG exist in real life.

It wasn't in reference to rape though, things are a bit more -complicated- here. Doumeki knows that Yashiro's wants violent sex, to him it's a way of disassociating. Whereas Doumeki wants Yashiro to have an emotional connection, he doesn't want to hurt him. Doumeki saying he can pin him down, could mean that he wont take his shit, like everyone else, he can stand up for himself, or do what he thinks is right in order to protect Yashiro, he is fiercely loyal and protective. Doumeki also has his own issues with feeling like he could be like his dad, or that he could be like the other men who Yashiro is with, but he's not, his dominance is expressed in other ways, and it's not violence or rape, as Yashiro knows. Yashiro is more frightened of having an emotional connection. As readers we see the full picture, but for Doumeki he was dealing with Yashiro running away without saying goodbye or leaving any reasoning.
Aside from well-thought ideas, even the weather was deeply considered to suit the vibe of LoverBoy... Aside from the amazing concept, dialogues, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT... It's a masterpiece because it's COMPLETE~ and in it's completion, it's made of heart-wrenching, happy, sensual and relatable storyline.
