LUPUS also means Loup in latin. It's the french word for wolf :3

Lupus isn't the French term for wolf, it's "loup". Lupus is the scientific name for the constellation of the wolf and Canis Lupus is the scientific name for "loup" (=・ω・=)

yop as @2nora has said :) but by the way I didn't say it was the translation of ''LUPUS'' in french but in latin.. and because french is my main language and pretty similar to latin I could guess the origine. A lot of scientific names are in latin so as it is pretty much the same thing.
