reminded me of the story of a girl who grew up with a green ribbon around her neck, when she was on her deathbed she told her husband who had been with her since childhood that he could finally remove the ribbon. (he'd been asking through out there entire life, since they met in childhood, what the ribbon was for)
and with the ribbon removed, her head fell off.
He respected her wishes and never removed the ribbon till she told him to, he's a real man, unlike those assholes who said sorry after they did there deed... F to that.
