I just wanna hug them :(
I hope their brother really cuts his bullshit- but gambling addict… ugh it’s hard

I disagree…
It’s BECAUSE they’re children that they don’t understand what’s going on, heck even some adult don’t get it- the kids shouldn’t have to worry about things like that
But regardless of that, the kids are valid in their feelings and they shouldn’t have to keep going through that-
The world is cruel and ppl are prejudice esp in a conservative society like korea
I think the brother should really get his shit together, it’s up to the adults to make things right- the kids should be kids- the sis is busy trying to have a normal life and protecting her brother, she doesn’t have time or the capacity to understand what her brother is going through

Yeah, that's what he's trying to do! She's annoying because she keeps whining that it's his fault. How is he to blame for what others think? How is it his fault that their struggling? Exactly! Plus, the whole situation happened, and the reason why it was brought up that he was in prison, was because the little brother had taken the girls pouch. If he hadn't tried to hide it and just gave it back with an apology, they wouldn't have been cornered like that. It's not because they're children, the sister obviously is socially aware. She had enough time to complain- she has enough time to understand what he is going through

…what no… lol I highly disagree with this! They’re so young… like of course she’s gonna think it’s his fault- cuz in the kids eyes- it kind of is? Like not trying to say it is his fault, but she’s totally valid in thinking that way.
And sorry but do you honestly think the classmates would be like “oh you accidentally took it? It’s okay!” No.. they will be blamed and accused of theft because people already have a bad view of them. So the smart choice was not to give away that they have the pouch- the girl is smart, she knows where they stand in society- she’s socially aware yea AND THTS THE SAD PART- they shouldn’t have to be- she shouldn’t have to be! And she’s only socially aware up to a certain point because bottom line is.. she’s still a kid who doesn’t understand the adult world. She’s having to grow up without an adequate adult guiding her
And no offense… he IS part to blame- his gambling addiction and being in prison contributes to their rep- and you can say he is TRYING to get better… but you can also see that he’s clearly NOT- lol as he’s still gambling in prison
And that’s the sad part- gambling addict is hard to get rid of- but tht doesn’t excuse his shitty choices-
I will NEVER blame a child for their feelings- and her thinking it’s his fault is totally within her right to feel that way because I think she’s right to feel that way-
Just as you’re taking into consideration of the mcs feelings and pov- you should also take into consideration of the kids pov
But we can also just disagree, cuz we have differing opinions

I am. I was a kid in their position too. Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to read the essay you wrote, but I don't think so. She's annoying and whines way too much. She is refusing to look at the whole picture and only the one that fits what she thinks. She acts WAY too bratty. I honestly almost skipped the parts she was in from how annoyed I was. Getting better takes time and the right atmosphere. How is a person addicted to drugs supposed to get better if they're only surrounded by other drug addicts? How can he get better in prison if everyone around him is just pushing him around- lol. No one even knew he was in jail until the kid was accused of stealing. I think we're forgetting the part where one kid said their brother was in jail then the others were shocked? Like I said too, no one is to blame for other people's actions. That's on him. Yes, I do believe they would have considered it a misunderstanding, or at minimum he shouldn't have acted so guilty?! Like, obviously they're going to think he stole it (which he did BTW) because they both backed up and refused to be checked. Come on now- lol. If she has enough common sense to be socially aware, she has enough sense to understand where the brother is coming from

Why the fuck even bother responding if you didn’t even read the “essay” I wrote lmao
I disagree with you wholeheartedly, we are not gonna see eye to eye- just like how the brother’s environment influences his actions, so does the kids who are in ELEMENTARY by the way- and it was accidental stealing but you think the ppl are gonna care? lol no- they don’t and yea prob a lot of the kids don’t know he’s in jail but the adults do lmao
And she shouldn’t have to be understanding of her brother given her situation- she’s a child and is valid in her behaviors
And the brother could’ve changed before he was in prison, but like you said getting out of addiction is hard BUT it doesn’t excuse his shitty choices-
And just cuz you were a kid in that situation, doesn’t mean all behaviors and thoughts are the same, your reactions are different from others who go through the same thing- but I’m not here do discuss further in your situation, I’m only talking about the story
We don’t see eye to eye, so just leave it at that
I just know this gonna be cute
